Lighting Test of the brightest blocks in Minecraft (Level 15)
TheJeweledWolf and 4 others reacted to MasterArcher12 for a topic
Did some block light renders. This uses flatlands btw. Constructive Criticism Allowed Mandatory Tried to light the sea pickle up, but couldn't find the one with the stem, and i was too lazy to import it from my world so yeah. The sea lantern. Instead of brightening the lit parts like I did with the Jack o Lantern and Redstone Lamp, I decided to make a cube with the frame texture so it doesn't get lit. because the center texture is animated. This campfire was hard, had to make another resource pack to make the fire glow, and not the wood. Gonna redo that lantern so only metal doesn't give off light. Haven't made smoke yet either. ] End portals DO give off light. The glass looks stained, but it's not it just received light from the end gateway. Only the center nether star thing is lightened because neither glass nor obsidian gives off light. Beacon from the opposite side, shining on stone. Somehow the stone is illuminated more by the end gateway. Conduit. Jack o Lantern and Redstone Lamp. Made separate textures for them to not light up the unlit parts. I just pasted those textures on a normal carved pumpkin and an unlit redstone lamp because MI keeps automatically makes them bright.5 points -
The Alleyway

The Alleyway By Terasal The shopping cart, cans, spray paint cans, safety cones, wine bottles, and barrel rigs were made by Zerghunter666 Hello! I'm new to the forums and this is my first post. The render I made was the first photo-realistic thing I have made on Mineimator. I put around 32 hours (Of me actually working) onto this. This is suppose to represent curiosity and the aspect of unknowing. You have no idea what will happen in this alleyway and it will depend entirely on you as a person to make your own ideas. Some people might think muggers will jump you while in the alleyway, but others may think it's all just an illusion and it's as safe as your bedroom.4 points -

This is a render based on @YoGames Studios's incredible technique of creating accurate reflections, but with a little improvement: a Fresnel effect, where the reflection becomes stronger when reaching grazing angles, just like in real life. Water depth rig by @Keep on Chucking3 points

Dev update #16: Where's Modelbench?
anima cryses reacted to Nimi for a topic
Hello everyone! It's been a while since the last dev update. The last Modelbench beta update was released over a year now, so here's a dev update touching base with what's going on. To begin with, Modelbench as a whole is in the middle of being remade from scratch, starting from May. Here are some reasons as to why I've decided to remake it: Source code was a mess... Originally, Modelbench was developed (in a rush, no less) to create resources for Mine-imator updates. It wasn't designed as a tool for the community. This had a pretty big effect on how everything was set up internally, and cleaning it up would require going through every bit of what I made, which would be time-consuming. Combined with how new I was to programming at the time with poorly written code everywhere, remaking it from scratch sounded faster than tediously rewriting syntax and restructuring most of the source. Open source! When I eventually leave as a Mine-imator developer, I don't want to keep Modelbench's code to myself. Especially if modders (or future developers) want to add new model features. Previously, I wouldn't consider making Modelbench open source, but I've changed my mind now since it'll be set up better this time around. Modelbench will be open-sourced when 1.0 launches. Since Mine-imator 1.2.4, I've been devoting almost all my development time on solely Modelbench to make it the best it can be, and promptly. This remake has also allowed Voxy to revise some design choices, making for a better modeling experience as a whole. While I still don't have a release window for when the next version will be made public, this remake is being developed much faster than Modelbench was previously. That's all the news I have for now concerning Modelbench, I hope this could answer some questions as to what I've been up to lately. I'll be showing off some of the new exciting features soon, so stay tuned! In the meantime, here's a teaser to keep you waiting!1 point -

The customization options are the same as the current Modelbench beta. This means you can: Choose between a light and a dark theme; Pick an accent color, either from a selection of presets or by providing your own color. It's more restrictive, yes, but it's pretty streamlined. It's easier for the user to pick a main theme and a single color, than having to deal with a dozen of colors (which are, for the most part, supposed to be the same anyways). Besides, this is pretty standard stuff and I believe it'll be more than enough for most people.1 point

Okay I kind of rushed This animation as I was running out of time so it’s not good enough. I didn’t even add all the sound effects. I decided to post it here anyway. Too late to fix it now. I already sent it to bps. Please give me feedbacks anyway.1 point -

Long Forgotten - 1 (Fight Animation)

"Need a hand?" "Boi I had a serious intent to kill you, but since you showed me kindness I'll forget all about it because I can't disobey the plot" Overall a pretty good animation, I wouldn't say It's a REALITY rip off at all because it had a proper backstory (cough cough Cade's stories were actually shattered and clues were all over the place which made it difficult to determine the story, all I could say is that he pushed his friends away, and all the scenes were his perspective) The animation's pretty fluid but with minor snappy movements, the only issue I have so far is that the cameras change scenes too fast to actually determine what was going on.1 point -
