Definitely not “More like reflections”, the imagery for the cube used in this is bright like how the alpha glitch produces. I’ll try and experiment with this and see what results come up in a little bit.

This is why it's useful to always have a gas mask or respirator. If this is the kind of things that can happen, I'd recommend finding a cheap GP-5 mask in working condition. Be aware, the filters contain asbestos but pose no risk with later models unless damaged. If you're not comfortable with that, get a normal respirator with charcoal filters.
