  1. Ah, yeah. I see what you mean. The rotating dials could definitely use some numeric values for issues like that.
  2. The source code for Mine-imator is available at https://github.com/StuffByDavid/Mine-imator. If you have GameMaker you can make an entire program in the same language as Mine-imator, and with the source code from the program itself, I'm certain you'd be able to make something.
  3. Tell me something interesting.

Before ordering super expensive tooling for making parts at the foundry where I work, they test out molds made with 3D printed sand, experimenting with different vent placements and gateway size to make sure all the areas of the part will fill in. If it works out, they then order the tooling based on the experimentation with the 3D printed molds/cores.

There are actual furries at my college (costumes and all). Their little posters say "Furry Alliance: Expand your FURizons."

I once met a man who believed in Norse Mythology, and he was a pretty intelligent guy.

Oh hey that is really interesting. My dad actually believes in Norse mythology so that makes it especially neat.

We've found graffiti on walls at Pompeii. They used to mark quotes of political celebreties or advertisement for important events, and some people had fun changing the meaning a bit.

  4. The final result isn't as good as I might want it, and there are much easier methods to get just as good of a result, but the actual quality of the video is great. Well-done on that end. Definitely not deserving of a downvote, that's for sure.
  5. So apparently people are laughing about how gen z is complaining about class presentations, and saying things like "Wow, they can't even read analog clocks or speak in front of the class? They can't do shit nowadays." Listen, I also think public speaking is an important skill to have. And the analog clock thing I also kind of agree with. However, presenting in front of the class never once helped my social anxiety. Anyone who actually has social anxiety knows that having someone else force you to put yourself out there does not help your anxiety. If anything it makes it worse. Social anxiety requires your own methods. You need to be the one to figure it out. Everyone needs to be able to present eventually, yes. It is an extremely important skill to have. But presenting in front of the class does not help.

And I think the problem is it's a complex issue that's being unjustifiably oversimplified. I love sharing my work, absolutely. I like talking about my opinions on certain matters, especially if the topic is something I care about. But what gives me anxiety is the act of standing up in front of a big group of people, and personally explaining my project to them. I go to school with these people, if I mess up I'll feel awful for weeks thinking about what they thought. Obviously they might not have even cared if I did mess up, but that's kinda why anxiety sucks so much. Sure, standing up on this proverbial soap box on a Minecraft animation forum is totally fine for me because I know if I say something stupid, I can always take my time, think about what I said, what they said, and say something better next time. A presentation is a one-time deal. If you mess up, you're screwed. The fear of that happening only gets magnified ten-fold with social anxiety like that. Like I said, being able to handle that is an extremely important skill to have. But when you have social anxiety, that problem suddenly turns into something different that we're not really trying to fix properly.

Listen, from the almost 3 years I've been on this forum, I've learned the importance of constructive criticism. Criticism is the only sure-fire way to succeed in my book. When you give a presentation in front of 30 mindless teenagers who just want to leave, you don't get that. Not even from the teacher. Sure they might give you a score written on a piece of paper, but that's not real criticism is it? How am I supposed to be better at giving presentations if the only sign I'm doing something wrong is a number on a transcript? "This presentation sucks" does not tell us how to improve. And it really sucks that the current mindset that a lot of people have is that forcing you into that system will actually help you. It doesn't. Trust me, I know. If we want to actually help people improve at public speaking and to actually be able to use that skill in the real world, why don't we teach public speaking? There are a few schools out there who have it as an option, but being so important I think it should be required.

thank you for coming to my ted talk

@Chaukeke The generation after millenials, the youngest. Basically people born after 2004, but everyone draws the line differently.

I thought it was folks born in 2003 or later.

@YoshiHunter Like I said, everyone draws the line differently. There's no one correct answer for that, I've just heard it referred to as 2004 by a lot of people and have become accustomed to that idea.

  6. Unfortuantely dual monitor setup isn't a feature at the moment, but I'm sure it's possible to implement.
  7. I made this purely to test out the new features, like bloom, color correction, custom biomes, etc. While it's not perfect I'm quite happy with how it turned out, even if it is pretty basic.
  8. It's awesome to see an interest in using Mine-imator as a teaching tool. Unfortunately I don't have the kind of time to help out with it, nor am I actually experienced myself, but I'd just like to wish you luck in your search. This could be a very cool project if it comes together.
  9. In Modelbench you don't use item sheets. You make textures to apply to different parts of the model. You can import it.
  10. TIL if you click someone's banner it extends to full size.

  11. What are you using to import the file? Are you importing it using the button in the crafting table's menu, or with the file select button? You should always import them using the crafting table's menu. If you try that and it still doesn't work, are you opening this in Modelbench or Mine-imator? .mimodel files were made to be opened with Modelbench and to be imported into Mine-imator when they are completed models. If all of that is how it is supposed to be, I would try to delete the temporary files. Unfortunately I don't know what the file names are called in Portuguese, so I can't tell you how to do that since the translation would probably be very rough. If everything fails, try reinstalling the program.
  12. That's pretty hot.
  13. Reflections would be very difficult in GameMaker, but you can always use the camera method.
  14. Non-edited? My baby Mine-imator really has come a long way <3.
  15. In case you missed it:

  16. The walk cycle actually looks alright, nice job. But I feel like the glow on the tools is unnecessary. There are probably better ways to do it but I really don't have experience in that. The sound effects are okay, but they should have a lot more variety. Using just one sound effect over and over can sound boring. Like, 3 different sounds for stepping on cobblestone that you switch between.

    Wendy Rig

Loveable sass feature not yet implemented, expect in Wendy 2: Twitter Edition Turns out it was harder to do than I thought, especially with the under-layer being smaller than the outer dress. Took me an hour to perfect it. Thanks my dude! Also Delete this.

    Wendy Rig

Features: -Dynamic dress bending -Cute ponytails -A square deal -Lovely shoulder puffy things Make sure to import the .miproject file, NOT the Modelbench file! Uses @RedAnimator's Female Template and @SKIBBZ's face rig.
