Spontaneous Explosions

The next Minecraft Bedrock update will add ray-tracing to vanilla.

It will be available on capable GPU's for windows 10, but I wonder if it will work on Xbox Series X/S in this update.

I have no doubt they will eventually add it to Xbox, but I wonder if it'll be a few months. 

Its entirely possible it's been in development for Xbox for some time. Then again, Xbox has DirectX ray tracing and DirectX will already run it on Windows 10, so I wonder if they need to adapt it all.

Can't wait to play around with it.

Is Chapter 11 the best episode of the Mandalorian?

Well, I won't tell you what to think, but yes. Yes it is.

And I also won't tell you who will be in the (presumably)next episode, but it rhymes with Afoka Rano

It was tighter than the presidential race, but I got one! Been waiting all year.

"Donald Trump plays Minecraft"

An epic tale, by me.

This is best read if you're familiar with his speech pattern. 

So this is the game I've heard so much about. I know all about Minecraft, I've spoken with the best players in the country, great people, they're great people. But quite frankly, not very smart.
Can you believe this, they said to me, "Mr.President sir, with all due respect we could out-Minecraft you any day".
I said to them, "Excuse me, no. You're wrong. I have many, many friends who play Minecraft, and they told me all the things."
So you wonder what we're doing, you ask me what we're doing here, I'll tell ya'. We're winning. Winning at Minecraft.

So looking around I see grass, a lot of grass. The greenest grass the world has ever seen.  And there's a cow. Bet you get a lotta steak outta that big guy, well done. A nice well done steak.

I look over at the plain of beautiful grass, I see a vision of a house. A tremendous house, bigger and better than anything that's ever been.  We're going to build a house. We're gonna build a house, and the villagers are going to pay for it.
You ask me, Mr.President, how will we build a house? Well, we're going to punch trees. Punch many many huge, oak trees. I'm the best tree puncher, believe me. No one does it better. But We're gonna punch all these trees and craft them into things and place them down.

Idk, I was bored.

Xbox Series X launches Tuesday.

This is gonna be tighter than the presidential race.

Microsoft has noted that they will not have enough stock to meet demand, so its going to sell out in minutes. I'm going to try my best to get one the second its out. 

If all goes well I'll be one of a few million that get one.

Can they just make a Star Wars show starring Cobb Vanth please?

I predict we won't get the election results tonight, or any day soon...

Aight, this is kinda cheesy but...

If you're an American citizen and are able to, you need to vote. 

Doesn't matter what side you vote for. As someone who can not legally vote yet, I see not voting as wildly irresponsible, especially this year.

This is not just a battle between two candidates, but a battle between two different ideals, two different ideas on what government even is.

The importance if this election cannot be overstated.

So like, what do presidential candidates even do all day on Election Day?

There is pretty much no point in campaigning tomorrow, I don't even know why Trump is doing like 5 rallies today. Nobody is changing their minds at this point.

I guess they just wait around for the results.

Just finished the Season 2 premiere of The Mandalorian.

And daaaaaaang! That may have been the best episode yet!

Cobb Vanth is an instant fan favorite, at least for me. He first appeared in a book, but I want more of this guy. Like, give him his own show. 

And any real fan would know who that mysterious "Jango Fett"-esque character at the end is...

Next episode is going to be fantastic.

At last. The Mandalorian Chapter 9 releases tomorrow.

I've waited for long...

We've got our first Caves And Cliffs development version.

Its a beta for Bedrock. In fact, its so in development, the 2 features they added could've been added by anyone with add ons. Just goats and 'snowier' snow. 

But whether betas or snapshots start first, the other usually isn't far behind. Maybe we'll get a snapshot next week.

Whyyyyyyyeeeee????

Someone found something in the code of Microsoft Flight Simulator, referring to PC_VR and SCARLETT_VR, suggesting Microsoft at least played around with Vr on Xbox Series X/S. If you don't know, Scarlett is the code name given to the new generation of Xbox consoles.

On top of that, apparently Phil Spencer(guy in charge of Xbox) has been talking with Gabe Newell.

Hmmm...I mean if I were trying to bring Vr to Xbox I'd definitely want a contract with Valve.

It has begun.

It seems Microsoft is tightening is grip on Java Edition. They're forcing everyone to migrate to a Microsoft account. Their reasons for this are valid and make a lot of sense. But I fear it this is just the beginning.

I don't play Java as my main version but I do not want to see it become like Bedrock. Look what Microsoft has done to Bedrock: Marketplace, the persona skin system, freaking emotes.

I look at it as Java being developed by Mojang, whereas Bedrock is developed by Mojang and Microsoft.

Just to be clear, even though I don't like the direction they're taking Minecraft Bedrock, I still play and enjoy it frequently. For the most part it still follows Java in terms of gameplay. 

Just 3 weeks until Xbox Series X and S launch.

I can't wait. I'm reeeeally hoping they're not going to sell out in the first day. I don't expect they will.

I'll snag one at the earliest opportunity, hopefully on November 10'th.

There was a special look for The Mandalorian tonight. We learned a very interesting detail.

Not only is Mando looking for Jedi, he's also, as I understand it, looking for other Mandalorians to lead him to a Jedi. Hm. Hmmmm.

Perhaps a certain Sabine Wren??

We shall see.
