  1. It has been over 2 years since I posted a status update. I really fell off.

  2. If you have a dedicated graphics card, particularly NVIDIA, I show how you can easily boost Mine-imator's performance.
  3. On a scale of 1-10, how much has this post changed your life?

  4. Very good. That's some quality animootin.
  5. Nice work, but way too short. It's fine for your first project, but the outro being virtually half the video is terrible ratio. Otherwise you're off to a promising start, looking forward to seeing more lengthy work.
  6. I agree with much of OzFalcon's points. I did detect some of the Tarantino vibe, but the comedy aspect didn't quite hit the mark. Balancing serious tones with comedy can be a challenge, especially with how easily Minecraft can come off as goofy-looking. A lot of Tarantino's comedy is derived from the quirkiness and absurdity of the characters, the actual mood of the scenes don't necessarily change.
  7. Started a second channel for animation/tutorial stuff, so I'll be posting them occasionally there.
  8. A user in my Discord server asked how to make a hologram in Mine-imator, so I took a stab at it and made a tutorial of the result.
  9. Well deserved move, David. Thanks for your dedication to this project, and I look forward to your future work.
  10. I'm running a horror themed animation challenge on my channel, so I decided to throw one of my own together by finishing this project I started a couple years ago - when Community Build was all the rage.
  11. Make what you want to make, and don't worry about what people think. Basic animations like this are good practice, anyway.
  12. Made this a couple weeks ago. Grandma wants milk.
  13. Agree with everyone else. Impressive work, for sure!
  14. Gonna have to increase the Shadow Blur quality/size values. Reducing Sunlight range to 400 may be helpful (but you said you already have it set to lowest). Otherwise you'll have to change the sun's position to cast the shadow from a more optimal angle, or add a Point Light to to hide the shadow.
  15. A lil while ago I completed a full beginner's guide for the latest version of Mine-imator (1.1.2), so here is the playlist containing all parts of the series. If you're new to Mine-imator, this series should go a long way to answering any of the initial questions you may have.
  16. Thanks for the feedback, and the reasoned take on these types of animations. The series has an intentionally simplified animation style. It's meant to be a "Minecrafty" style of animation, so that's why I chose to make their movements simpler.
