I've just realized that for 1.3.0, the devs have been slowly but surely adding features that you would usually get from raytracing: soft shadows, light bounces, and on the more aesthetic side, things like volumetric fog and brighter, more saturated lighting. In my opinion, if they just added reflections at this point, it would be perfect.

I think that after the reaction to 20w14infinite, Mojang is trying to make their april fools jokes actual things that people can use. Personally, I think it's a great idea!

Wow. In the latest snapshot, Mojang fixed the bug of the end portal not rendering from the bottom. That issue has been in the game since the end was added. Gj, Mojang!

I've started playing the first chapter of Deltarune, because it's free, I needed more Undertale, and I just couldn't bring myself to reset and do another playthrough of the original game.

People are always arguing over whether XBox or Playstation consoles are better, but Nintendo Switch exceeds all of them. Not because of graphics, but because it can be used as any kind of console: handheld, portable with a controller, connected to TV with a controller, splitscreen, or with multiple controllers. Heck, with those kits Nintendo is selling, it can even be used as a VR headset.
Also, while the graphics aren't that great relatively speaking, until I get a gaming pc, my Switch exceeds the graphical processing power of all the computers in my house. (Combined. XD)

The new snapshot looks awesome!
It seems like Mojang really took the fanbase's feedback seriously this time around. They added deepslate variants of the ores that can't naturally generate in deepslate, they fixed the ore texture inconsistencies, and they made the iron ore look better. I also like that they made cobbled deepslate more unique and made the deepslate top texture more consistent with the sides.
Lush caves look pretty cool too.

I'm really annoyed at Black Plasma Studios right now. For a while, I liked their content, and Songs of War was shaping up to be something really good. But then they ditched that to make lazy "Minecraft Life" animations. Granted, they're the highest quality I've seen in that genre of animations, but it's still not good content.

YAY new snapshot!
I love the grimstone, (and how many variants of it there are,) I love the new ore textures, and I love the new generation!
Though, I still think that the Deep Dark should be... well, deeper. At the moment, it takes up basically all of that space that Mojang just added, so it's still not that far down. I think it should take real effort to get to. I can dig down to bedrock with a stone pickaxe in about an hour in previous versions, I don't want it to be that easy to get to such a cool new area.
Also, the ores still need some work, they contrast badly with the grimstone but they still generate in it.
Mineshafts being held up by chains are cool, though. It's a small detail, but it's a good one.

@Spontaneous Explosions I didn't say they do. My (somewhat joking) point is that if Joe Biden can somehow fix the problem with it, then he has my support.
I also think I remember seeing him make a statement that he actually will try.

I just made my first basic character rig from scratch in blender!
It's going to be refined later, but for a basic model I'm really proud of it!

Zyn that sounds very biased
Being a free and open source program, Blender can achieve just as much as C4D, 3DS and Maya. Recent updates and changed to the UI made it very easy and intuitive to use. They also have a large and well established community.
I mean, ok, C4D could be somewhat better, has somewhat more photorealistic render engines. But does that even matter here? Is it relevant? Draco is sharing his 3D creations, not comparing softwares. And is that tiny improvement worth it for 100$/month?
Oh, and why are you even here then? I mean, mine-imator is free and it's far from as good as blender and even further from C4D. Go rent C4D then.
Sorry for losing my cool. Just want to get my opinion out once.

Am I the only one who sees MC Dungeons as more of a gimmick than anything? Because it seems to go against the whole point of Minecraft, what with open worlds and focusing on creativity more than combat.

@__Mine__ I actually kind of like the animation style. It seems more true to the base game- it does have bending, but only rarely and only 90 degrees. It is quite sloppy, though, and while I do try to do something similar with my renders (and sometimes animations) it's not exactly the same. And yeah, I don't like the "floaty-limbs" part.

Well, I'm, uh...
I'm officially part of the Undertale fandom.
And I haven't even played the freaking game!
I'm not sure what to think of myself at the moment.
Though, the same thing goes for Minecraft and Terraria, I liked them both long before I played them. So it's kind of a trend for me XD
