I don't know what I missed in the pages before, but: 1. Abstract things are abstract. Up for interpretation. 2. Not all people understand abstract concepts. That's cool. A lot of people don't. 3. You can not use the word, however, to mask bad content. I don't think this is happening here, but it is still something I feel needs to be said. 4. Abstract things are better with story, in my eyes. Story can be abstract, symbolic. 5. Past experiences can often be represented through abstract art (I know where you are coming from, James), but it should be kept in mind that they are not an excuse in any way. Even if a person has gone through a lot, that should not be used as a wall of any kind. Again, I don't think this is happening here, but for example, the comment Skibbz made earlier, while perhaps true, is not a valid point in debate. (And yes, I *THINK* I know what this is about/based on, judging by my perceptions and knowledge of James. It seems to be quite a personal project, but again, that's not an excuse to deflect criticism or opinions with. ) PM me 4 debates, I'll rek u with writer skillz. /rant over -

I'd say that the darkness of the scene is what ruins an otherwise good wallpaper - making things dark doesn't make it scary, only hard to see. Try sneaking in a few blue light sources in the background and such. The logo/your name is a little distracting, but overall good effort! And yes, I'm aware that it was meant to be dark, BUT NO EXCUSES!

<SPOILERS INBOUND> | I just watched the finale of Eddsworld... Eduardo's tears are what did it for me. Even if the death scene was punctuated by a joke, the fact that Eduardo really, truly cares about his moronic friend after all, that HE'S the one that has to go through the death of a loved one, and that he holds character even as Jon dies... That's the saddest, yet most heartwarming thing about the episode. It really is a 'be careful what you wish for' message... Eduardo angrily wished Jon was dead - and as if by foreshadowing, Jon died in his arms.

Alright, so I left GameMaker static for about an hour. I came back, 'out of memory', and every single sprite is now blank, including the root image file. It's an error I used to see in MI, fixable upon restart, but that didn't work. I've tried every kind of restore possible, all the backups are empty. No Google results. I swear if I've lost that many hours of work, I'm done with this, RIP projects.

A bit dark - lack of lighting doesn't equal fear or tension or horror, it just makes it hard to see. Good all the same!
