    How do I update Mine-Imator?

    - Make a backup of your projects folder

    - Uninstall Mine-imator

    - Download the latest version of Mine-imator

    - Install it.

  2. Please make sure that:

    - You installed DirectX and didn't just download it.

    - You install DirectX with an Administrator account.

    - That your graphics card is up to date and has the latest drivers installed.

If you checked everything and it still isn't working, please reply and tell me what Graphics card you are using.

Hello again. I believe i have DirectX. But i don't think that's the problem. When it starts up it comes with a box wich is named "Microsoft C++ library" wich says something like this in the end.

"There's a problem with the application, wich forced C++ to shut it down in an unusual way. Contact program support team."

    Is this possible to fix?

    Thanks for your time.

P.S. Excuse me my bad grammar, I'm not a native speaker.

P.S.S. I'm writing this from my smartphone so I can't check do I realy have DirectX installed.

Just checked it. It's there. I ran the installer from the link. And it came back with this:

"DirectX installer has detected that your computer has the same or later version of DirectX. No installation is required."

    Again,thank's for your time.

Thank you for the detailed information about this issue!

Please make sure that the C++ libaries are up-to-date.

Download the installer below and follow the instructions:

    https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=5555

  4. Incase you are using the Mine-imator Community Build/Mine-imator Community Edition,

please make sure your version is up-to-date since the previous one had a bug wich broke the world importer.

If you are using Vanilla 1.0.6, make sure that the file you want to import is a .schematic file.

If you don't have a schematic file of the piece you want to import, make sure to use the world importer instead.

  5. There are a lot of issues with this that would need fixing.

(alpha glitch with the sword effect, forward walkcycle for a backward movement, clipping, weird movements etc.)

Normally i wouldn't be too harsh with newbies but you did one thing you should never do.
For some reason this has become more common. But remember:

    Never ask for likes.

    I suggest you keep practicing.
Start easy, do not try to animate extremely complex movements at first.
You have to slowly approach them.

  6. Inverse Kinematics are extremely hard to realise in Mine-imator and the developer has stopped working on this program.

Two users are currently trying to continue Mine-Imator as "Mine-imator Community Edition", so maybe they will add it in the future.

But until then, you'll have to wait.

  7. To everyone still arguing about the weapon shown in this topic:

After looking up "Flail" it is clear that this weapon is supposed to be one.

The Article also addresses the varying opinions, expressed in this topic.

    Quote:

" Modern works variously refer to this particular weapon as a "military flail," "mace-and-chain" or "chain mace," and sometimes erroneously label them as simply a "mace" or morning star, terms which technically apply only to rigid weapons. Some historians refer to this weapon as a kettenmorgenstern ("chain morning star") to distinguish it from the rigid weapon."

    - Wikipedia article "Flail (weapon)"

So calling the weapon a "Morning star" or "Mace" is incorrect but apparently it's still widely accepted although "Flail" would be be the correct term to use.
