Yay, he's done now. He was done for like 2 days but the computer was all those days in use and couldn't use it.

    Personality/Log by Andrew:
"He's very quiet, haven't talked since we "found" him (or he found us), and he's... kinda strange, sometimes he's really hostile and sometimes he just sits there and does not care about anything. Just sits there. If i could talk to him, and he would listen, maybe he would start talking... Oh right, he doesn't even write. Damn technology couldn't make war machines write?! What a waste of time. Atleast some of them can talk."
    Weapons:
He uses his gloves as the weapon, instead of drawing things he manipulates matter/material bends stuff and uses it as weapon (like take a chunk of iron from the wall and throw it/bend it/anything.)
Imgur for some odd reason denies me putting the "card" i used with the Glove Andrew uses and with the introduction of Shiro. DAMNIT, IMGUR!

    Haha. Well thank you!
    I lol'd (literally).
    Thanks!
Well I wanted to kind of "make it my own". I was inspired by the Monster School theme, but I didn't want to make the exact same scenario - for this particular video, anyway.
Herobrine really is the only qualification needed... for anything... in life.

also your animation is good, thats bad, quantity over quality lel jdhsekhbvldsffv
Ontopic: that's actually really good, but the "school" theme is somewhat lacking IMO
shouldn't it be called creeper school then?

Well I thought I'd try my hand at a fad for once, so I made this; and, since I know everyone here absolutely can't get enough of Monster School, I knew I had to post it here!

    Pretty gud!
Some things you should work on is:
    Making it less bulky
    Adding shoulder buttons

    Other than that, it's great!

    Uhh... bad.
I get you are still learning, but honestly your previous wallpapers were better. The lighting is really weird, the legs also look really off, and it's not creepy. (If that's what you were going for...)

The wallpaper is too bland and dark. Try brighting it a bit up so it doesn't look so freaking dark, and add some details too!

NOTE: THE COLLAB IS CLOSED FOR ENTRIES. ANY ENTRIES RECIEVED AFTER THE 26th OF SEPTEMBER WILL NOT BE ADDED INTO THE COLLAB.

    Hey!
So if you remember a year ago I created a collab called Seconds Before Doom. If you want to see the full video, here ya go.
Well, it's been a year and about 1 month since the original collab, so I decided to reboot it as the sequel to the collab:
    Seconds Before Doom   II
Basic Idea: You will create a wallpaper that takes place, as the name suggests, seconds before doom. The event? Anything you can imagine, your character getting thrown into lava, being eaten by zombies, getting assassinated by your doppelganger, whatever.
Example: (This is also my entry)

    (Tornado's gonna suck him up)
    Rules:
No sexual content, as this is a family-friendly site. Blood is allowed, but not too much. Any hyper-realistic diconnected body parts with bones sticking out will probably be disqualified. Your entry can NOT contain other forum members being the ones being killed, unless the forum member(s) gives permission or you die (Or get seriously injured) alongside them. I will accept any wallpapers above 720p, 1080p is HIGHLY recommended, but I can't stop you from going up to 4k. Editing and External Programs (After Effects, Photoshop, Paint.NET, GIMP, etc.) are allowed, this isn't MIDSA: Wallpaper Edition. No animated .gifs or videos Your entry has to end up with your character either getting killed or seriously injured. This is Seconds Before Doom after all, no Close Calls here. The entry must have YOU getting killed and/or seriously injured. Not someone else, not even your best friend, you. Other Information:
All entries are due 12:00 AM PT (3:00 AM ET), September 26, which is a Monday. No late entries will be accepted.
Anyone can join, regardless of skill level, again, this isn't MIDSA: Wallpaper Edition. You may use whatever rigs, schematics, lighting techniques, external programs, lennys, etc. that you may want. The entry may tell a story about any past experiences from you or others. All photos in the ending video will be in one slideshow in the order of entries recieved. TheTanJames will not be editing the video, I will. You may do more then one entry. You may use older Mine-imator versions, but it is highly recommended that you use the newer Mine-imator 1.0.0 versions. If you do not have a dedicated skin to use (Ex. your Minecraft skin), you may use Steve. You can submit your entry via posting it in this thread or PMing me. I will review and evaluate every one of the entries I recieve.
If your entry isn't in the final video, the entry wasn't good enough to qualify (Too much flatlands, not enough effort, etc.), but the expectations won't be as high as MIDSA.

I wanted to give Stevie a suit of armor. The thought of the suit unintentionally resembling @Astro Animations's keeps lingering in my mind. I hope he doesn't mind.
Anyways, I hope you like the wallpaper! I really liked adding in the space invaders just to add to the "retro game" feel.

ZephyrAnimations reacted to empirebuilder1 in An Idiot's Guide to Render Depth
Having just decided to spend some actual time on animations lately, I've run into brick walls more times than I can count with visual glitches that I thought were bugs in the program. Blocks not showing up through glass, water getting lit when it should be dark, etc.
They're not bugs, though. They're simply a victim of the Render Depth setting.

Render Depth is a simple numeric value that tells Mineimator which objects to render first. By default, Mineimator sets all imported objects to Depth 0, which is probably fine for basic animations, but I quickly got into projects that couldn't just have everything rendered in one path. Otherwise stuff like this happens:

Render Depth acts like a sorted list, so an object with render depth 0 is going to render first. The next object with render depth 1 goes next, applying whatever scene changes the first render pass created. Then objects with depth 2, 3, 4 and so on. The result is a stacking render that can be used for some interesting effects (or brain-bending glitches!)
The glitch above happened when a fully enclosed structure (with a canal through the center) and the water were imported as separate objects. The water (which defaulted to Depth 0) was rendering first, where it was open to the sky and thus illuminated. The overarching structure (which I somehow managed to fumble into Depth 5) was then rendering around it, causing the water to be illuminated within an otherwise dark scene.
So before you go running off to the help forums (or the bug report page) to complain about situations like above, check your render depth settings. As a general rule, you want your scenery to render first, then blocks, then items/players, then particles. However, some situations (generally involving colored glass from my experience) may require that the scenery be rendered last. You'll just have to figure it out on a case-by-case basis.
[I may come back and edit this later with some more details and image examples, but I haven't the time right now.]
