Hey man I'm all for voicing opinions, but when people politely disagree with you you shouldn't act all dramatic like that. Not everyone has to fuzzy up to you and agree with you on everything, but nobody should verbally harass you either. I don't see anyone in the above comments verbally harassing you, so reacting like that just makes you look selfish. No offense.

Also I agree, I like the new Netherite armor because it gives me more reason to go to the nether, and takes more time to find. I could find diamond within half an hour of starting my own world up. The new blocks and everything also open up so many more creative building and computing opportunities, which I'm excited to see be put to use.

Sorry in advance for the long read.
@MojangYang Honestly, I couldn't agree more and feel the exact same way about such an opinion...
The game has started to feel a bit off to me since 1.13; mainly due to the removal of Customised Worlds, but additionally movement started feeling a bit sluggish, commands became much more painful to type and Shipwrecks/Underwater Ruins made Diamonds much more common. The movement and commands I've gotten used to now, but the latter point didn't sit right with me.
Then 1.14 arrived and added an absolute ton of features all at once for some reason. Sure, Villages definitely needed an overhaul and they look amazing now, but now they're also very OP; most of them now have everything you'll ever need, just find one and you're pretty much set for life.
Additionally, they decided to make Evokers spawn in Raids, making Woodland Mansions completely redundant as well as making Totems of Undying farmable, which people exploit the hell out of.
And then there was the texture overhaul by Jappa, the reason being to give the game's textures a consistent artstyle. I would actually be more understanding of this if all of the textures were changed... but for some reason a considerably large portion of the textures have remained completely untouched, which just creates even more inconsistency.
And then there's my biggest gripe with 1.16... Netherite is far too overpowered for it to feel Vanilla. There aren't any mobs even close to strong enough to warrant a stronger tier than Diamond (with the exception of maybe the Ravager). Hell, most of the mobs become complete pushovers once you have Diamond armour, especially so with a Shield, which are hilariously overpowered for how easily you can make them.
But this new tier is not only stronger than Diamond, it also doesn't burn in lava, has higher enchantability and has knockback resistance? Overkill much? This total lack of balancing is just ridiculous, but I can't say I'm surprised at this point...
Also, some of the mobs' AI is downright stupid.

I actually really like 1.16 for the most part and couldn't care less about it feeling "mod-like".    I think that's just people not being used to the new content, which is normally a feeling associated with playing with a new mod for the first time.
But I'm bothered by the general direction the game's been taking as of late, becoming easier and easier without anything to counterbalance that.    And Netherite, although I think it's great to finally remove diamonds from office after their extended term, it suffers from being another item making the player more powerful without equally tough mobs to justify its existence.    If 1.17 was entirely a balance patch to make mobs less useless I'd think it's the best update in years.
tl;dr nether update good, netherite good, game too easy mojang pls fix

This is exactly why I rarely explain my opinions. Simply because 85% of you guys don’t understand, and if I talk about it you think I’m crazy.
If you take a player from 2010 and drop him in 2017, he will be able to play without problems. You tell him about the End dimension, he will say “Wow, that’s some hefty additions! But those are nice things to work for.”
If you take a guy from 2017 and drop him in 2020, he WILL be overwhelmed by the state of the game.
I don’t need this. I just want to enjoy the damn game.

You know what, forget it. There is no point in me saying all this.

There is no easy answer to that, Ethan. Right now, the game is unlike Minecraft, and the whole nether update seems more like a mod than any other updates. It doesn't fit the beautiful and simple vanilla minecraft. The addition of Netherite alone was enough to depress me for weeks. People had been hunting for diamonds since 2009, and it had been the best ore in the game since 2009. The mere thought of diamonds used to put a smile on my face but 1.16 kinda ruined that.

I agree, I haven't played minecraft since 1.12 and looking at other people's minecraft videos I saw these weird things like stone cutter and those banner making machines, it just felt a lot more complicated.

Let people have their opinions, Ethaniel.
@HeYoNia I absolutely agree. A lot of the recent additions since 1.14 feel too mod-like, and just don't feel like they fit in.
Netherite in particular; it has an uninspired name, was created when no threats to warrant a better weapon/armour tier actually exist and was created with literally zero consideration for balancing in Survival Mode... all the traits of a majority of mods.

__Mine__ reacted to Voxy in In todays 1.16 pre release, what does the 'fabulous' graphics option even do? I can't
Fabulous graphics fixes a lot of issues with transparency. Notice how particles can now actually render behind stained glass, and that transparent particles now layer properly with themselves and the clouds behind them.
Basically, it fixes the equivalent of Mine-imator's alpha glitches.
