      i'm not saying bedrock is better than java. i have both versions, and i consider them equal. but i think of them as two completely different types of minecraft, i'm  not judging which one is "better."

      no, that is saying that some things in bedrock are better than java, such as the ability to make addons- mods that can be used in servers without the client having to have them installed. some things in java are also better than bedrock, such as the hundreds of thousands of free resource packs and shaders.
