Anyways, look at china now. The virus originated from that country but they barely have any daily new cases now. Surely if Trump issued a complete lockdown like they did, it would be more effective? I mean, surely, a month of complete isolation and hunting for any infected individuals and complete freedom afterwards would be less miserable than what is happening in US right now?

True though, I should read more myself instead of relying on the media. But given his history, I don't really trust trump all that much. NGL TBH

China hasn't been reporting accurate numbers for a long time. Even though there was a new outbreak in Beijing in June there is no sign of it in the official statistics, which is basically a flat line since late February.

It has also been shown that locking people down in isolation causes way more deaths than Covid, through stress, violence, drugs, alcohol etc. Unemployment from stopping the economy has a way higher mortality rate than the disease it's claiming to protect us from.

I'd personally recommend avoiding all mainstream media when it comes to getting facts.

That makes easy sense for me but nobody in my family ever avoids mainstream media even though all of them are inaccurate. 
And of course locking people in isolation would cause more deaths. Infected people dont even know they are infected so they are putting their family in risk. It makes clear sense. So does the ways you mentioned @david put the risk which may cause a higher fatality rate than expected.

people should worry about what protects them from covid which is their immune system and they obviously should worry about covid itself. Its already more dangerous the spanish flu (i think)

so once your immune system finishes fighting back you gotta let it rest for a long time and be very cautious during that time.

Just remember the safety rules to always wash your hands, and stay 6 feet apart from other people when outdoors

i recommend 5 months of rest for the immune system if you want extra energy but 3 or 2 is recommended if you wanna continue to the previous state when the immune system was ready
