  1. I wasn't pointing to a single individual or a select group. I was just stating how I see things on a more general matter. But hey I appreciate the fact that you had your own opinion mate!
  2. Well I am glad you had an opinion on the matter mate! No criticism here.
  3. Ah... thanks for the heads up mate :3
  4. True that mate, getting that smooth action and reaction takes time to achieve that full effect! But I usually use Mineimator for story animations and comedy. Out of all my time I pretty much only did 2 fighting animations I believe, and the first one sucked! Btw if you want a general idea on how to animate a walk, look here:
  5. Hey mate! Okay so first of all I like the idea alot! But the image itself could use a bit of reworking. I would suggest using the blur effect for the camera, yet to a degree. What I mean is if you can't see anything that would be a problem, but being able to see everything is a problem in some cases as well because it could look too dull. When you look at the image think to yourself what you're are trying to convey also. What do you want the viewer to pay attention to? What do you want the viewer not to care about too much? this should help you with selective blurring. Another thing is that you should have a bit more emphasis on that sun, yet like the blur effect, try and be rational with it. You don't want the effect to be blinding, but it has to be there to the point of where you can feel it while looking at the picture. With the sun being one of the main objects too it would be much better if you enlarged it, and over exaggerated the color it is putting off. You want some nice dark shadows at the back of those dudes as well to obtain that gud feelin. One last thing mate, camera angles are one of the most important things to pay attention to in animation and wallpapers. It's one of the main factors that define your final product, so try your best to get the greatest angle you think of, as it might be overall decision maker. Sorry for the essay mate, and I with the best of luck!
  6. Well mate, to be truthful this is the only social website I truly know. Unless you count YouTube. Also even after all the changes that had happened here, I still feel drawn towards it, and this is the only place I feel a teensy bit comfortable sharing things I have done because even if I get just negative feedback for one mistake I know there are still a few out there that will help me get better. But someday...
  7. Whats the difference between the Mineimator community today and this snake's bite? The snake isn't as toxic Okay yes this might be a bit of an over exaggeration but there has to be some people that must agree that the mineimator forums has changed, and not for the best. This used to be a small and loving community that had loads of fun doing what they loved to do in the their spare time, but now if you as so much as get a pixel wrong on a wallpaper you get brought down upon harshly! I would like to also note - even though some may not agree - that some people who put little to no effort in there animations/art tend to get a higher praise than the ones who could create masterpieces and just get dirt. What I am trying to say is, I just wish for the best of this place. This was what actually got me into wanting to do 3d animations, the software given to us by David is what allowed me to create what I would always dream of, and the community back then pushed me even further to wanting to be the best animator I could be, and even though I may not be one of the best yet, I don't want to leave this place knowing the noobs these days didn't get the same or even better experience than what I had. So in conclusion my main points are give rep where rep is due, and keep pushing people to be better than what they are, but that doesn't mean to be all negative. In the end, I wish for the best! P.S. This is just how I see it btw If you do want to comment I would love to read your opinion! But please, this is only a discussion, not a debate. If you want to debate use pms, I really don't want this to get closed!
  8. ... Didn't realize I did actually, oops.
  9. Well Mineimator makes backups of your project after a certain amount of time. But the problem is that the backups are saved inside of that project folder, so if something happens to the stuff inside of the project then it will happen to the back ups as well. Now I never really looked into the chance of being able to change where those backups end up but if you deleted the folder and deleted it from the recycle bin you most likely find a program that picks up scraps left by anything removed. I had the same problem but what happened was my files got corrupted and I tried to recover them. It didn't work so I had to redo it all. Try this: https://www.softperfect.com/products/filerecovery/
  10. Man I see so many people getting into groups and animating. I, for some reason, feel influenced to do it too because who knows, it might be fun! but I must first ask myself, what kind of group I am interested in... o-o

the channel is called mad box animations, but since we have not posted the introduction video I don't think it is viewable, sorry

  11. Make it into an animation then it would be loads better! Well, if you make it right anyways Still nice mate :3
  12. Yes it would, but I don't really think a person holds the camera usually, more of a mechanical arm. Also that's a bit too vague of an answer for me to work with Either way though, it solely depends on experimentation. just play around with this idea and I am sure you will get some pretty cool movements. Just don't forget to mess around with the transitions and see if you even need folders at all.
  13. 777... what does this mean O-O

  14. To be honest mate I always thought "nub" was just a lower rank than noob, so I looked up the definition annnd, I changed that part
  15. Hey guys, so lately I have noticed that people have been having a lot of problems when it comes to integrating a bit of physics into their animation. I am not really saying that it's necessary because the laws of physics is always broken when it comes to an animation yet I am saying having a little knowledge on how things go up and down by gravity should help you in the long run. First things first is using folders: To create a folder you have to go to the bottom left of the timeline tab Folders are usually used to organize the items on the timeline. You can select multiple things on the timeline and click the folder button to automatically place them all in a new folder. Folders do not have an object assigned to them so the only thing that can be seen is the translate and rotate Let's move on to using folders for rotating and translating: Okay so the order of the folders for translating really just matters on the situation and personal preference, but I usually just do X folder out, Y folder in the middle, and Z is either the object we're translating or just another folder on top of the object The same goes for the rotation folders, but they all must be inside the innermost translate folder carrying the object. If it were in the object, the object wouldn't rotate: Now I will show you a bit on how gravity and movement should work so you can have your animation from looking like this: To this: First things first is that you need to know that x, and y, must never be animated on the same item when making arc movements! The reason being is that they are both considered to be 2 different components, which pretty much means one could be going at a constant speed while another is gradually getting slower. Example (X is going at linear speed) (y is easing out, then easing in) Put them together and you get this: Now you might be wondering, "CC, where else can this be applied besides for simulating gravity?" Well young noob, I can tell you it can pretty much be applied anywhere when it comes to translating and rotating. For example I want this cube to linearly rotate on the x component, I want the Y component to use an ease in and out, and I want the z component to ease in and ease out exponentially, so I create 3 folders, parent them to one another then voila! ...To be honest I don't know where this example will be needed in something but I am sure you get it now. Just play around with this idea as you may not need to use all of those folders for a specific movement. With the basic knowledge of this you should be able to get that smoothness when you need it, and if this helped at all, please consider leaving an up vote so I know. A comment would do just as fine too! :3
  16. I am most positive that someone will say : "No pics no clicks." wait... I just said that. I WAS RIGHT!
  17. Well guys, I just finished the collab. If you wish to see it, here it is: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JjP7OSNIkLU
  18. Hey guys! I finally finished! Well, I finished yesterday but I wanted to wait so I can share it with more people. I really hope you do all enjoy and if you like it enough, try considering checking out my channel because there is LOADS more. Thanks to all the people who participated and encouraged me to make this. So without further ado, here's the Make-A-Wish Collab! Btw I had to cut one entry due to opinions on fad, I didn't want to see him hated and everyone in the collab be blamed. If you don't care if it's fad, here is his entry: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UNh3TXdfXAM There was another entry that didn't make it in the video but that was just because I forgot to re-add it during the editing. Lifecraft, I am sorry I completely forgot about your entry.
  19. Woot just finished the collab! I am going to upload tomorrow though so I can get as much people as possible to watch it, and hopefully gain some subs :3
