Aight, so if you doubt that replacing the thermal paste on your PC is worth it...
I just replaced the stock AMD paste on my PC, and when playing through a stupidly CPU-intensive Live project, the highest temps I get are 71, and that's only at the very end. 90% of it, I had readings of lower than 70. Previously, one playthrough would send it up to 160ish, and working on it for 20-30 minutes would cause it to overheat and shut off, meaning around 200 degrees. Even as I'm typing this, it's idling at 58 degrees.
So replace your thermal paste. And get Arctic Silver, because it's awesome.
