SuperMarioSF got a reaction from Jake_28 in [MI 1.1.2] New localization: Chinese (Simplified)
Well, maybe I should announce that Modelbench translation is on-the-go?
But there are few technical problems here. so stay tuned, I will find the solution.

SuperMarioSF got a reaction from david in BUG: MI 1.1.0 ~ 1.1.2: World importer translation display issues
There are two bugs in MI's World Importer. All about translations.
First one: World Importer does NOT apply language settings in MI setting. It always use English as default laguage. Is this is an implementation issue or just forgot to pass something to World Importer to let it know which the target language file is?
Currently I just copy my translation file as 'english.milanguage' to bypass this issue.

Second one: This is more complicated but easy to figure out how caused this.
    Let's see this screenshot:

    Seems fine, right?
But when I translated this... it seems not right:

I did NOT write that text for that button. And it seems shows first 4 characters of that radio button.
I checked language file then I know what happend:

(Left: My translation; Right: Source English language)
May be when MI looking up the translation entry, it just ignore cases.
So World Importer think "/importfromworld/filters/remove" is equal as "/importfromworld/filters/Remove". And then bug come out. Cases was totally ignored.
We can do something to let you know what that means:

And you can see the bug directly:

It's hard to be found when using English language file, and even harder to be found when World Importer just don't load another language file.

Since the first bug is a totally not working feature (make World Importer multilanguage support useless), so this report was set to major bug level.
    Please fix these bugs. Thanks.

SuperMarioSF got a reaction from CaptainClipy in [CLOSED] BUG: MI 1.1.0 & 1.1.1: Watermark is not working
wow, this reason is really funny.
It can be used for do some demonstration for some animation or pictures when you show them to others, which protect your work not being stolen by someone that not cool at all.
You know there are many guys that not cool and always want to occupy others works as themselves (sometimes if this is very popular, they even sold them). This is very common in Internet, especially in China. Protecting creative works in China is very diffcult.

SuperMarioSF got a reaction from Benji in Feature Request: Customizable watermark for FULL version
After reporting the watermark missing bug, I think why not make the watermark even useful. So I come with this idea. Of course this feature is for FULL version users.
A customizable watermark options, in settings, and allow to adjust where the watermark shown, what the watermark is (load from external file), and a transparent option. This option is shared project-wise so put this in settings is fine.
If someone want to add watermark in pictures or video, they don't need to open another software to do that if the watermark is customizable.

SuperMarioSF got a reaction from PigmanMovie in The Mine-imator 'Community build'
Basically, because the Internet access limitation (or another word: "GFW"), many Chinese user cannot directly to get latest version. So they often want the author for a republish permission (of course in good and legal use). But in my opinion, I don't think this is a good things. Because many OTHER Chinese just take others work and "own" it to satisfy their vanity, or even to benefit their own. This is currently a sociality problem and will not be solved in a short period of time.
Because I am a Chinese, and not want they  take my work to make their money, so I am not release my work (translation) in public in China mainland. I only release in here.

SuperMarioSF got a reaction from Emunator in [MI 1.1.2] New localization: Chinese (Simplified)
NEWS: Support for Mine-Imator 1.2.0-pre is WIP now, stay tuned! ?
    Now support Mine-Imator  1.1.2, compatible with Mine-Imator 1.1.0 and 1.1.1

Yup, that fancy new format of language file, is here.
And thanks for everyone who made the MI 1.1.x series.
    Get translation!
Read the "Permissions" below before you download. If you download translation file, that means you agreed with that.
Get translation file and download then put new shiny chinese-simplified.milanguage file to Data\Language\ , start Mine-Imator, set some fancy font, load language file, and here you go!
    Download here: https://1drv.ms/u/s!Aix9xTkS-cZSiQ1SBUTJ0t3ARZqn
Attention!  The new format of translation is ONLY supported by MI 1.1.x and above.
If you are not using latest version of Mine-Imator, you may not able to use this new format language file. Because this language file is designed for MI 1.1.x and above.

Not using latest Mine-Imator? Don't worry. we kept the file which supporting earlier version of vanilla Mine-Imator up to 1.0.6 down to 1.0.1, and all community builds, so nothing to worried about.
For legacy Mine-Imator: http://1drv.ms/1WroAUW  (Yup, this link will never modified. )

For Traditional Chinese translations, please refer to here: http://www.mineimatorforums.com/index.php?/topic/57571-mine-imator-106-traditional-chines-personal-translator/
    -----------
    Old screenshots:

    ATTENTION:
You can use Chinese for displaying BUT DO NOT USE CHINESE CHARACTERS IN ANY INPUT TEXT IN MINE-IMATOR. If you save your project and re-open it with any wide-characters inputed, you will got a CORRUPTED text in these text fields. But if you did not input anything and MI created an temporary name for you in Chinese, it will works fine. In text objects, I recommended that you leave blanks or fill some other text in text boxes., until you need to take a screenshot or you want to render them into a movie, refill them with contents you exactly want to display.
Yup I deleted them, because MI 1.1.x is well supported Chinese and other Unicode characters. But if you are using old version, you may still need that notice. Great job David.
You must know that: YOU MUST LOAD AN EXTERNAL FONT BEFORE LOAD THIS LANGUAGE FILE, or your MI will become into blank. About external fonts, I prefer using a free font which licensed in GPL: WenQuanYI Micro Hei. I had tested some fonts and this font works best with MI. The image above is using WenQuanYi Micro Hei. If you have more good font choice please share with your idea.

(Similar as "CC-BY".)   But there is an exception.
EXCEPTION: The rules above is not suitable for China mainland. To prevent abuse of this translation file and Mine-Imator software, rules listed below will override rules above:
You are NOT allowed to distribute this translate file in any community, forum, or any other service hosted in China mainland without permission of KeyCr@ft Project.  Any variant of commercial usage of this translation file (or any variant contained this translation file) is NOT allowed.  KeyCr@ft keep the redistribution rights in China mainland, but we will promise we will not use redistribution rights for any variant of commercial usage. Translation updates:
About the translations of MI, I will foward the updates of GameMaker version started at MI 1.1.x and C++/OpenGL version (if they will be existed), and translate them, just in my best. If there are any bugs in translate. But older version support is stopped. I only provide download, but will not update them any more.
You can contact me via E-Mail, or just re-edit them by yourself (if you can, seriously).
I'm glad to contribute to MI because MI is very easy to use and should used by everyone who want to made some cool stuff. Thanks David to provide this powerful software.

This issue was fixed since 1.0.3 update. So this issue was closed.

There are some bug in update-check function.
    Error message:

    of Async Event: HTTP
    for object app:
Data structure with index does not exist.
    ############################################################################################
This window pop up endlessly, simply click ignore does not work.
I analysised this issue, and found that if a connection to www.stuffbydavid.com on port 80(HTTP) was established but breaked down (maybe there are network problem or someone else(such as, GFW.) stopped you to access to this server), this message will pop up, endlessly.
I recommended that David you should add a check before putting [content which downloaded from website] to [json process function]. If website returned a empty contents, notice user that cannot check for update, and do not check again until next startup of mine-imator.
    Thanks.
