Once you extract the files, you should be able to go into Mineimator and import scenery from that save file as per usual.

OK. But the file I found had APPDATA files in it and not obj. Can mine imator open APPDATA

You're using the Scenery importer to import a map save, just like any Minecraft save you'd normally have, not the Object asset importer.
