Littleman9Mew2 got a reaction from Mr. Cat in Working around Semi Tranparant Objects
For those of you who may know or not know about the tranparant object bug, you always wonder why I can't see that character behind the semi transparant glass? Well After doing to researching and messing around on a test rig world, I was able to figure out how YOU can see through that slime! Or whatever it is....

Let's break it down on how the animation first opened up after a transparent object resets:

heres what it looked like before the bug:

And here what it looks like after:

No, I did not delete the Ninja, instead he's isn't being rendered through the slimes texture, but why?

Well it has to do mostly on how Mine-imator deals with loading transparent objects and objects in general.

Here is the time line list of the objects in the render

    Camera
    Slime (Which isn't the texture)
-Body (This is the model's texture)
    --The Ninja (The guy inside)
    ---etc (the stuff for Ninja)
Steve (The one looking at the slime)

What Mine-imator is doing each time you open the animation it goes from the top of the timeline to the bottom of the time line, in the example, it loads the camera first, then the Slime, THEN the body, and THEN the ninja.

Mine-imator only checks transparancy for objects BEFORE it when it loads, so this is why some objects wont look right in rendering, it's because its rendering everything before it and not after it.

For this example, it was easy I had to reorder the Ninja to a different spot, BEFORE the Body layer:

    Camera
    Slime
    -The Ninja
    --Etc
    -Body
    Steve

And the render looks perfectly like it did before it did.

So the issue is: IT'S ORDER!

(Bonus Points to the person who can guess what the example was! )

Littleman9Mew2 got a reaction from KicksBrickster in Line and curved Line Objects
Many minecraft players know that if you use a fishing rod or a lead, it generates a line leading from the player to the target. So I was wondering if a line and curved line object could be added.

    It would go like this:
The line has a thickness of 3 pixles defualt to black.
You can set a bend or curve point at around the center.
You can set the thickness of the line, ranging from 1 pixle to 1000
You can set a texture for the line.
The face of a line will always face the camera, noticable with a textured line but can be toggled to do so
You can set it to any length.

    Benifits:
-Adds string and realism with stringy objects
-Makes the Lead usable, and the fishing rod have a line.
    -Cool for tightropes, power lines.
-Could add redstone dust texture for connected redstone
    -can be colored
-can be animated with the length and curve, for realistic rope

    ========================================

On the topic of lines, I was thinking of a option for objects, blocks, and even characters. The Line can be "pathed" where the obeject(s) parented to the line will follow it depending on how long you want the object to the follow the line.

But I think the line object is a better idea though

    Love the idea

    To add on to it:
-An option could be added to put the amount of beveledness into the object, with 0 being no bevel

-You can set what kind of bevel, round, angular, or a pattern

-Could set it with the cubes and cilinders too.

Littleman9Mew2 got a reaction from Skjold in Redering and Picture Idea
This can get annoying and I can't seem to figure this out, I would like an option where if there is multiple cameras in the animation, it allows WHICH camera to do rendering instead of having to guesstimate the camera the render would appear.

A good example where this would be handy

    Portals
    Reflections
    Camera security room
    etc

We know that there is linear transition, instant, and ease in and out, etc. But the last option should be customized so one can create a cool looking transition, like sine waves and cosine waves.

Dont start giving that advice out again. Not everyone is able to purchase a new computer because somebody on a forum tells them to. Though I will say that if you do at some point decide to, I would suggest building one. You can more easily get the performance you want, and its generally cheaper than getting the whole package. I recently did just that, and i must say it is one of the most gratifying things i have ever done, and it is super fast. Let me know if you ever want to go that route though and I can give you a hand

As we all know it is the unimplemented minecraft "Generic" Villager but something wasn't right that would be awesome for you guys to have. The green hood next to the head would be awesome to add to the villager skin layout, and it can add a bit of style for the villager too! It's a little detail, but I would at least like to mention this in the forums.

Littleman9Mew2 got a reaction from DJDJ in How do you create rigs? No really.
I am very curious on how all of these rigs are created because I'm planning to make one but I don't see anyone on how they made them or what you need to make them for Mine-imator. Does anyone know?

    SO...my questions are:

1 how did you make the models for the rig? Like a dragon shape
2 how do you apply the texture for the rig to use? like the wing texture for the dragon's wing
3 where can I get a program that can make rigs? to make the dragon shape
    4 is it free?
5 are there ANY tutorials on how to do this?

NOTE: I am not going to make a dragon model, it for an example
