I'm actually unsure if that's going to be a rule or not since I want the clips to match up nicely, although black bars can give a good cinema feeling. :/

Well you can use which ever version you feel more comfertable with or you can just add black bars to all of them in post.

I didn't want to speed it up in another softwere, simply because I wanted people to see how long it took.

And as you said, you can speed it up on YouTube.

I used the textures from my rig pack and a snow tile for the ground.
