  1. i recently made a timelapse of me animating my next video. i would like to post it somewhere, but there is no forums section for it.
  2. This was just something I whipped up during the trade day. Unrelated: I'm 73% complete now, expecting to finish in August. I'm unsure if I want to take the free college. Images are pretty big so watch out.
  3. Now before someone says "But Pika, you're just greedy to have your mod in Vanilla.", I'm not. I just think the things that my mod fixed, should be put into Vanilla Mine-imator. I mean, it's quite easy to fix the foilage. For example, for the leaves, I just copy-pasted some code from how the other leaves(Oak, Jungle) are rendered, and for the vines, I just made the color be "null" and applied the leaves model so it uses the biome color. The desert/savanna color is litteraly just changing a couple values to "0, 255"(or "255, 0"). The Mesa just checks if the 21st biome is selected, and if it is, it doesn't use the biome color file, it just uses a stored color value.(Which is what Minecraft does with the Mesa color, Hex:9E814D, RGB: 158, 129, 77(That's the exact color Minecraft uses.)) I think that people shouldn't have to download a modification of Mine-imator in order to have these simple things, fixed.

  5. Good'ie, everyone. This idea didn't create by me exactly, It was creating by Ponlawat Gaming (Because he sucks at English. :P). Me and him wanted to present about suggestion that should be in Mine-Imator. It is something like ... " Co-Op Animating in Mine-Imator " (Maybe) because we dunno what it should called ... We know that you wouldn't gonna imagine it correctly but he made an examples Interface what it should look like. (NOTE: This is NOT featuring in Mine-Imator 1.0.6 so, don't be stupid to go check your Mine-Imator. This is editing with Photoshop.) Starting Interface (When you open Mine-Imator) Joining Server Interface (When you are already clicking " Join Server " button) Main Interface (When you are already joining server) Chat System User List System (Players joining server) Main Interface #2 (When animating together) And as you see, this is very useful benefits for who are making movie and needing some helpers like Rigging, Animating or something like that so you can animating together easily and more cheaper, faster. (Working same function as Minecraft Server (L.A.N), if admin leaves the program, players (users) will disconnect too) [ I know you guy gonna comments something like: It's impossible!, No way! But this is just suggestion ... (Me and him also suck at source code tho. :v) ] If it possible, that would very helpful for the community! So, our dreaming movie project would gonna be possible for like ... 20% maybe tho ...   6. Hello! Simple suggestion pretty much. Like leaves, it would be nice if you could toggle it so other objects(cubes & other misc. shapes) could change colour based on biome. These objects already have a toggle to be effected by leaves. This will be really useful when trying to create plant life and other shrubbery. Just a quick suggestion! I bet that this would pretty easily be implemented since this is already a thing for leaves. @David
  7. So what I mean is that you're able to import a texture, and you can select how often it replaces a texture of a particlular block. Let's take MCSM for example. You can see that the grass differs in differs in textures here and there. This feature would really add some more depth to animation graphics and would help "break up" the usual same texture being repeated.
  8. how about adding custom themes for mineimator forums? by it, i mean nothing that would change the whole mine-imator forums, just custom themes, like the option to customize the colors of MI forums interface, kind of like currently in mineimator, or it would be nice to have like five themes, wich you would be able to find in options menu, (normal (current), calming (like green and baby blue theme), agressive (black and red theme) and some minecraft themes: desert (sandy), ocean (blue), plains (bright green), forest (dark green), mushroom island (brown), cave (grey), snow (white), maybe nether and end), and maybe all ores colors or mobs colors? PS: yes I know it would be a LOT of work

Hey David i just wanted to ask if you could make something so that i can import my mcpe maps into schematics beacouse the only way i see it possible right now is to get minecraft pc editors and stuff like that but im guessing they need the full game on pc so could you help me with my problem becouse i want to have my own creative work from minecraft pe on mine imator and if you can this is 4 u
  10. Hi, I was wondering if a feature could be added that would make the animation a bit easier for beginners like me. To start off, I'm not exactly sure what it's called but what I'm talking about is something like in flash where you can select a specific set of frames and on the 1st one and then make a position for something and then at the last frame make another position and in between the beginning and the end, have the animation part done for you. For example, I'll use a green circle and a blue square within 10 frames. First, you select the 10 frames and on the first frame you make a green circle, then you go to the tenth frame and make a blue square. After designating the 10 frames to a transformation or translation (whatever it's called), you play the clip and the circle is made into the square without you having to edit every frame bit by bit. Sorry if this seems noobish or anything like that, I'm new to Mine-imator.

  12. so i had an idea for giving the outer layer, like hats and stuff, an option for a 3D effect, where it is not floating, and it connects yo your head in 3D. anyone else agree?
  13. Uh, does anyone else think that if we could lower the Detail amount of a Cylinder by 1 more unit, we wouldn't have a perfect square, but a perfect triangle? All we have are Cones at the moment, and they always have some amount of points that go inward on themselves to the tiptop of it. These triangles would be different, since they wouldn't be pyramids, but actually flat/wide triangles. Does anyone see what I'm saying with that? Also, I know I suggested it before, but how hard really would it be to make a thing where I choose a point (moving or not, like an Item or Cube) and choose another point in the Mine-imator interface, and then, a line would be drawn that always finds itself between these two points, connecting them. I could parent the two points to the Left and Right hand of a Steve, and the line would always be between them, touching the points. Say I were to make that point into a surface, a flat line. What if I made the line into a texture that Stretches with distance, or repeats? I could put my chain texture on that line and I would have a shackled Steve that disregarded Mine-imator's slight limitations. How hard would that be to make...? I don't know nawthing about anything, but maybe this could be useful and slightly easy to do? Maybe? I really don't know. What do you guys think? (Maybe we could segment-ate the points...)
  14. Hi everybody, So this is a suggestion, and I don't know if there is such a thing on mine-imator yet, but I have not seen it if there is. So, I was wondering, is there some sort of way that, like, me and my cousin could work on the same project, at the same time, using different computers, and connected by a USB cable or online? If this got added to Mine-Imator that would be great. And also, could someone make the "Made with Mine-Imator" thingy at the end of "meet the gyro" or whatever it was, could someone make that available for free download so I could put it at the end of all my animations?   15. Basically it lets you customize your transitions more for example, you could ease in with the circular transition, and then ease out with the back transition with only 2 keyframes it will save up some keyframes and work.
  16. I remember there being a feature where you'd put [random]Thing 1, Thing 2, Thing 3[/random] and every time it was shown it'd select an item from the tag to display. I think it'd be great for it to be readded
  17. So, My suggestion would be camera locking. Now, let me explain. Camera locking should enable the user to lock the camera's rotation and position so they dont accidentaly click and look around with the camera view and therefor accidentally repositioning its rotation. It would work very simply. This is a zoomed out image of how it would look. ------------------------------------------------ this is how the camera bar looks. as you see, it has a lock icon indicating its locked. ------------------------------------------------------ here you see it in the camera properties settings. Hope this explains what im trying to tell. This would be a mini life saver if it was implemented. I've certainly done it lots of times and then wish it could be disabled.
  18. could you make it to where you could do full screen during the animation creation process? I ask this because it doesn't load my frames correctly when I export to .avi and it would be nice if I could just record it with my bandicam. Another cool idea would be to add In weather like snow and rain, possibly even wind to make grass move? One more suggestion, could you add particle effects?, if there is already, then sorry for asking.
  19. Hi. so I've been using Mine-Imator for a while now, I love it, it's amazing! I've wanted to add music to my animations, but it's hard to perfect the timing when I have to save it as a video and add in music separately. Is there anyway you could add in an audio setting, to add in music or even just audio for regular Minecraft sounds! If you could add this, I would love it! Because Blender has it, yet blender is hard to navigate and use, this is easy and amazing!
  20. If you import a schematic, mod blocks disappear. Maybe it could create a cube with the name of the block (in mod:name format if available, otherwise with numerical IDs) if the importer sees a mod block? Then we could apply the texture ourselves. For example, if stone was a mod block, then the current system would replace stone with air. If this suggestion was implemented, it would replace them with white cubes which are named minecraft:stone.

    Themes

    So, we've all seen the Winter and April Fool's themes. What if we had the option to set our own, or perhaps, if the forums had more pre-set themes? Such as a night theme, based on timezone, or a 'dead hour' theme - activated when less then 15 members are online? Is such a feature possible on IPboard? Thanks!

  23. I've noticed a couple things that Mineimator lacks and I thought of a couple ways to fix them. A lot of them have to do with rigging, but I think they would help out animators and wallpaper makers as well. Allow parenting to happen in the Library When something is parented in the timeline, it should come up as parented in the library also. If you've ever made a rig or even simply imported one, it absolutely destroys any organization in the library. The disorganization created by this makes it near impossible to find and modify any of the templates in the library. If things were parented in library, one could easily organize their different templates. Folders in the Library Along with the parenting, folders would need to be able to be in the library. It would help with the organization of the library, and since templates in the library don't always have to appear in the timeline, you could have library only folders simply for organization. This could also give the user the ability to add everything in a folder to the timeline. Timeless parenting Parenting should not be constant, it should be based on the Timescale. This would solve the issue that so many people have when they want a character to throw or drop something. If it is possible, it would also be nice to have the template that was parented simply stay put, although I doubt that would be easy to code. Unconstant time in the Library The parenting that is in the library would have to change with the time selected by the playhead. This is pretty much a given if the parenting is time based and parenting can occur in the library.

I had a idea that you could pose a object/mob easily, like it had a pose button, with.. maybe 3 poses, for example, when you are working on a EnderDragon, you need to start bending every part, but if we had a pose button or whatevs, we could easily pose it by choosing a pose, flying, standing, or maybe we could make our own custom poses, and we can poses them everytime, for example, when you spawn in a Human, he will stand kinda like a soldier, and you need to work on his body to make him stand like you want, custom poses can be great and useful, it's basically a shortcut, to instantly put i'm in a pose, victory pose, sad pose, running pose, just a idea i had in mind. Also sorry for my bad grammar. any thoughts?
