You need to learn the difference between an icon and a logo, then. This is the new logo, which has been sitting in our signatures for a while now:

 
The filmstrip icon is... just an icon. Who cares? It's just gonna sit in your taskbar or show up as a favicon, and for that purpose, I think it represents 'animation' a looot better than the blurry mess the current icon turns into if you shrink it down, even if isn't as Minecraft-y as the previous one.

 
Also, saying it's "not appealing" is just a matter of taste. Personally, I find the new icons much more pleasant to look at than ones you can't even properly read unless they're 100px tall.

YES! I love this use of the ink sacs! It could create some really cool effects for builders!

oh, yes. I mean, at least then they actually had new ideas. This year they were just reusing mobs from Earth and Dungeons. What a waste.

@Ethaniel you're just keeping your bias because it wasn't the mob you voted for. I would have much preferred Mojang just adding all three mobs, but they apparently don't want to make the whole community happy.

No it's still useless. If it wasnt added they would have just used glowstone for the feature and they should have.

@Spontaneous Explosions It was excellent. Visually one of Pixar's better films. The message was super strong. My only gripe is that Joe Gardner as a cat ruined a lot of the immersion.
@Draco63 Soul leaves a strong secular impact (most Pixar movies do). People don't really want to see Judeo-Christian values in their animated movies. That would be more appropriate for live-action. (But I completely agree, traditional beliefs is being ignored by the artsy culture.)

Eh. I don't think I'm going to watch it. It seems that as society has basically outlawed Christianity, they've started to think it's okay to talk about life after death in a fictional way, and I don't think I could comfortably watch something that conflicts with my beliefs like that.

To be clear, I'm not afraid of the vaccine. Or processed cheese for that matter.

I find it funny that all these other countries have delicious, unique cheese that they can proudly call their own, and then there's America with the generic, overprocessed, unnatural yellowish sludge.

This mod is (hopefully) going to add a Terraria-esque class and progression system. This ore in particular is supposed to be an end ore, killing the ender dragon will allow you to acquire it.

I actually use MCreator for my mods. I like it because it's easy enough to use that I don't need an entire team or a whole year to make a large mod, because I can focus on texturing and modeling (which I do better than programming.)

Looking great so far! I've been considering trying to make a mod too tbh...

Minecraft let's plays being played in nursing homes

Honestly, r/minecraft really has taken a nosedive off a cliff.
I very frequently see extremely low-effort stuff getting tens of thousands of upvotes. Here's a good example:

Literally just some Grass placed on top of a Sponge = 12.7K upvotes and multiple Awards.
People literally spent money to award this person for placing some Grass on a Sponge block.
Meanwhile roughly 3 months ago I tried posting one of my renders there and it got immediately deleted by the moderators... for being "low-effort".
The irony is incredible.

I bet the manufacturing price is less than 20 bucks
