Serena had suddenly disappeared. Nobody knew how or why, but she was just gone. The only thing we could do was call the cops. So that’s exactly what I did.“911, what is your emergency?” said a deep voice after I dialed the 3 numbers.
“My best friend just vanished after she opened a fridge.” I responded to the man over the phone. There was a small moment of silence.
“Is this some sort of practical prank?”
“Sir, I can assure you that if this were a prank I wouldn’t be PANICKING OUT OF MY MIND! Look, have you ever read a book where the police don’t believe the kid because their story is too absurd. That is exactly what my situation is. I can’t even believe this myself. I really need you to listen to my story!”
“Ya know what? Fine. Please go on.” He had one of the rudest tones I’ve ever heard from a police officer. And I’ve been arrested before! Please don’t ask.
“We were... about to get some coffee from Sunny’s Cafe when we heard an extremely loud noise and found a scared worker in the kitchen. All of the other workers were missing for some reason. So we heard some noises coming from the fridge and my friend went to go look and after she opened it she disappeared!”
“OK, seems bogus but I’ll go with it. I’ll send a dispatch right now to investigate this missing friend, and if you’re lying about this... well, we’ll see what happens, now won’t we?”
“Did you just say bogus?” After I asked that all I could hear was a beep. He hung up.
As I've said before we're writing the story as a school project and soon I'm gonna hire my friends as voice actors and we can make it into an animation. Kbai.
