If you start playing survival in the newer versions, it's actually a really nice experience. There's a lot of stuff to do, it is sometimes frustrating but at the end you always end up satisfied.
I couldn't disagree with the useless features tho. Why are there mobs like parrots or the pandas? It was clearly a marketing move to attract some kind of chinese playerbase. I wish that they would add more functionalities to the new mobs, the horse added in 1.6 for example was a huge change to the game in terms of exploration and gameplay overall.

@jakubg1 Oh hell no! The status system is quite the cool system to post small opinions and discussions, its another way of interacting with the community.
If it were removed, the community would be a lot more boring.

Trust me, for the longest time I've been here this is literally a thousand times easier said than done. I'm not joking. 
The amount of coordination,  dedication and trust needed for something like this will always take you by surprise if you ever try it. 
I honestly have never seen someone ever getting to make a fully fleshed out story in cooperation with other animators, but I have seen countless amounts of people with overly ambitious ideas that often fall flat and get to be nothing. 
I think much less ambitious and very small projects are the way to go and eventually doing something bigger and bigger, it will still take a hell of a lot of time.

When starting or ending movement, linear isn't always a good choice. But in between keyframes, it does make the animation seem more fluid and pleasant to look at. It's just how one uses it.

Honestly forcing users to use the official version is a very good choice for the better  because it is beneficial for both the community and developers. More users using the updated version = better creations, more people finding bugs, less people not using the program to full potential, more compatibility among rigs and other creations, and basically less divide in the community overall. 
It's a win for everyone, but I think mostly for those who update which is important to remark.

I may not entirely agree that a spectrum doesn't exist or that it's not that relevant in the way people label each other, but I definitely agree that opinions can be much more deeper/complex, and that using a label to try to justify what the other believes is damn right stupid. Even worse how sometimes people use these solely for trying to de-validate any statement that goes against what they personally think.

I don't know if I agree on there being no spectrum at all, but I get what you mean that people do tend to categorize others into groups based on maybe one thing they said or one thing that they support (or don't support). I have to be very careful around my girlfriend's older sister because of that. She describes herself as a feminist and claims to hate all white men, and if anyone disagrees with her on anything, they're automatically wrong and a terrible person in her eyes. She is very difficult to get along with because she brings up touchy topics every time I see her, and if I say something like "Trump is repairing our economy", "capitalism is good", or even: "men don't wear makeup", she flips out. Some people have just developed very egocentric and volatile behaviors about politics, and worse yet, most of them don't know what they're talking about (my girlfriend's sister has declared that she gets her news from Buzzfeed). So it's a mess of people thinking that they are absolutely right, based on  very little real information, with extreme reactions to anyone of a different opinion.
