I'm fairly certain there are rigs of Mario out there, since people have used Mario in fangames.

@YoloYoshi03 I'd really love to believe that. But companies like Nintendo literally use DCMA takedowns just for people making fan games and showing them off. They are very strict with their IPs, since Mario is probably the biggest name out there.

That would be what they'd say about it. But in reality, it's probably to avoid something that would damage their sales or something like that.
