Hello everyone! It's been a while since the last dev update, and I'm sure you have questions about the update and what's taking so long, so let's start with answering that.
What's taking so long?
In the previous dev update, I mentioned that I was working on "Inventory", the new UI for Mine-imator. This ended up taking a while to finish and pushing back when I planned to start on optimizations for rendering. I've since finished optimizations and now wrapping up any final graphical features for the update.

A change of plans
As many of you know, the "Caves & Cliffs" update for Minecraft has been split into two parts. This delay in the second half of the update will give me more time to further refine the update and improve areas where the program lacks, like animation. This of course will result in a delay of the update into next year, Mine-imator's 10th anniversary.

The Anniversary Update
With this new delay for the update going into Spring 2022, I've decided to rebrand the next major update from "Mine-imator 1.3" to "Mine-imator 2.0: The Anniversary Update". With overhauls to graphics, UI, and eventually animation (?), both david and I believe this update is deserving of the 2.0 title. I can't say for sure what new features will be coming in the next coming months for the update, but I'm sure the update will be worth the wait.

It would be pretty cruel to end the update with nothing to show, especially with how long its been since the last dev update. So here's some early previews of what's in store. Do note that things are still subject to change in development and the following may/may not be final. ?
 
That about wraps this dev update up, I doubt anyone was hoping for a delay on the update, but I hope these exciting announcements offer plenty of hype for what's still to come!

Hi, it's Uber again. This time I bet you are just awaiting to start a new project using Mine-imator. I have however seen a strange trend of people starting projects, and never finishing them. Or false promises on people wanting to help. This topic aims to spark a change in that.
So let's say you have an idea for a project. A funny animation maybe? Say a pretty serious movie? Or just something subtle like a short that would need some outside help? Then you've come to the right place. This does not include clans or teams, but this place is for that. However this topic aims at project help, so if you are looking for a team, just make a topic here.
First, a checklist. You need to meet at least 3/4 of these requirements before asking for help on your project.
"Am I ready to ask for help?" Checklist:
I have my idea ready for others to help me out. I have roles that need filling. I have at least started on my project, and have work to show for it. The work load in this project is more than I can bear alone. If you don't have at least 3 of these, you should be good to go on the checklist.
Asking for help common questions:
What do you intend to do? Is the work volunteer or paid? What do the common people get to know about the project? Is there any work done currently? What is the minimum/maximum amount of every job you need filled? How long is it expected to take? How long are you shooting for in terms of animation length? What are the minimum requirements for said job? Note: Please note that not everything has to be paid work. People here are nice and willing enough to offer volunteer work, but expect you to have part in it as well.
Things to avoid:
If the work is volunteer, It's expected you do something as well. Nobody likes someone who eats content from other users.If the work is paid for, you have the right to not work on the project and be a boss. However they have the right to leave it Avoiding exposure. Be sure you stay in active contact with the users. If you vanish suddenly from the project, it won't look good here. Stealing credit. We keep an archive on the forums and unless you explicitly say otherwise on the topic to where people won't be given credit, we will know if things are changed. Doxxing users who left. The reputation will hurt even worse, as backchat is not allowed on here. And above all, remember to have fun doing it. These are suggested ideas for asking help here, but you are not expected to follow all of these. (That is if it doesn't break the rules.)

Been 5 years since I touched Mineimator.
So any thoughts/critique on whats considered the 'Norm' would be great!

I tested this model on default steve and my custom character rig
so i think its gonna work with your rig pretty good too (or maybe not)
