I spent my Valentine’s Day at a giant band festival. It was great because most of us were single but we had each other and we were happy.

We played highlights from the Willy Wonka movie, and our favorite part was The Candy Man because we got to swing it, and it had love in the song. When we got to the candy man, we all blasted and tried to play as loud and with as much jazz as possible. (I had rests during candy man because auxiliary percussion barely plays anything, so I just improvised on the spot, and let the first percussionist do his thing. I’m pretty sure the first percussionist improvised too) I’ve never had so much fun with my lads, I’m so glad and thankful that they were brought into my life.
