    I'm willing to bet that mineshafts will be updated in 1.17. I'd imagine it would be hard to make amazing caves will retaining the current mineshaft structures. It wold stick out like a sore thumb.

      Ya know, if they update mineshafts you should be able to find artifacts there like in the new archeology dig sites.
