You're really "complainy".
UGH SCHOOL
UGH PARENTS
UGH LIFE-
@KicksBrickster @Kilonn Honestly, you guys are acting like you know exactly what you will become in the future, and your life plan will go perfect as you made it, and because of that you only want to know the stuff that you'll need, and nothing else.
Here, let me pop your bubble.
Life is not perfect for anybody, less than 10% of the world's population become what they truly wanted to be when they were kids. If you don't prepare for the day life strikes you, hey, you only know how to animate and don't know how to do something else.
You will end up selling tacos at the corner, and we don't want that, do we?
It's better to learn more things and not ask questions, because life is coming, and once it comes and you're not prepared, there's no turning back.

@KicksBrickster You're not entirely wrong, but believe me, if we could stop using, or at least get rid of learning things that we already have available, then why would we even go to school? It's pointless to go to school and learn about stuff that a greek philosopher named Pythagoras thought about 2,500 years ago, right?
That's where you're wrong.
Let's take as an example an engineer. Unlike animators, engineers need to solve problems related to machines or systems. How do they do it? Math and science. Using their knowledge, they can build, operate, and give maintenance to a machine that has to, let's say, make cookies. This machine does cookies perfectly, and is given maintenance when needed.
Suddenly, an engineer goes to his retierement...
and then another one follows him...
and the other one...
And so on until the company has to hire new engineers. But hey, if we already have discovered things that were used 100 years ago, why learn them now?
Because you're the next generation of engineers, you're the next generation of animators, etc.You will keep the world alive and running, and how will you do it? Learning what engineers learned when they were in school, learning what animators learned when they were in school. (Or in some cases, their animation program.)

@tditdatdwt I was talking about his case about wanting to be a professional animator, and no, I couldn't think of another argument x3

@KicksBrickster So? Math is used for everything, that's a rule of the world, the fact that you're not going to use it on the real world doesn't mean it's COMPLETELY useless. As an example, you could help your kids (Or your family's kids) with their homework? I don't know, something like that.
Science, english and history are kind of old, but science is science, your english can be improved a wee bit, and history, well... It happened already, there's nothing to be discovered.
Again, there is nothing wrong in knowing about things that you don't think you'll use in the professional field. Your knowledge can get you to places, sure, you say that animation will always be your thing, but the truth is, my friend, you don't know when the tide will turn on your life, and it's better to be prepared for it

@Kilonn @Emanatronic @KicksBrickster You can rest in college then. There, you will be taught things relevant to your career. Nothing more or less.
At least that's the idea
-
-
-
B-but you can investigate that yourself with no effort whatsoever... And you're taught different things about everything because your career COULD use that, if it doesn't, that's not their problem. How can you get a job that pays you enough to support yourself and, if you ever have one, your family and kids? By going to school. That's the only way
Stay at school, ladies and men of the gentle kind.
Not only that, but the more you know, the better chances you have at something.

Supporting your point.
@ElvenShot the war against terrorists is another story, but I couldn't find a video on Trump's channel.
Why do you even worry though? You're Canadian, you live in peaceland. Trump doesn't have anything against Canadians...
Does he?

I wonder if there's a way of updating mods yourself instead of having to wait for the developer or the case of dead projects

Anyone where to find the song that goes like this?: Skit skitlly duh. duh duh duh duda duh, duh duh duh duda duh.
Yes I know that doesn't really shaping anything. But if you've ever heard of The Scat Man, then it's something like that. It's a male voice for the "skit skitlly". Don't think these are the lyrics but if you knew what I was talking about, then you'd know the song in your head.
