  2. On the right side of a screen, there should be a sidebar with the words "Rotation," "Position," and "Scale." Open each of these tabs to be able to do as you please with the character.

  4. That would require deformation, and basic Newtonian gravity. That's something that's not coming in 1.0.0, but it's a possibility for 1.x.0 or later versions.
  5. Let me explain this for the twentieth time: Mine-imator 1.0.0 is not coming out today. It is not coming out tomorrow. It is coming out on Sunday. Sunday the 25th, of May. David did, a few weeks ago, say that it would be out probably on the 25th. Why is this? Mine-imator 1.0.0 is a huge program. Nearly everything has been rewritten, basically making it an all-new program altogether. There are bugs in the coding which can mess up someone's day by suddenly corrupting someone's animation. Would you like to have an unfinished, unstable, and buggy program? Or, would you rather have a fully finished, completely tested, and stable powerhouse of animation? That's the real question. It's only two days at max, people. That's 48 hours. That's 2880 minutes. That's 172800 seconds. ...I'm not helping my case, am I?

  11. Just because you can do anything with coding doesn't mean it's easy or fast.
  12. First of all: 1.0.0 is coming out within the next four days. It's almost certain that all of those days are going to be spent bugfixing. New features are almost impossible to get implemented within this period. For a 1.x.0 release, it may be added. Secondly: there's no reason GameMaker would not support IK. What I don't get is why people act as if every feature is something prebuilt into GameMaker and Dave just has to work it in. GameMaker only has basic, generic tasks for drawing sprites, handling objects, and other simple things. Other features, you can simply code in. If you so wanted to, you could make a full simulation of the entire universe (provided you had an infinitely powerful computer and an infinite amount of time). Just about anything that you can do without requiring physical real-world modification can be done through the power of coding. Third: IK is awesome. It would likely improve the quality of everyone's animations. However, it's probably a good idea to add an option to use FK instead for newer users. Even in places where there are no bends, IK would be cool. (i.e. a pig's legs).
  13. Use a file de-archiver program like 7-zip to open the .rar and get the mani out. A .rar file is basically a different type of .zip.

  19. Exactly that. 1. Sound is not yet supported in Mine-imator. There is a small, but ever-present chance that it will be in 1.0.0. 2. True particle effects can acheived in 1.0.0. Otherwise you have to make an item with the particle's texture, and make it float around and disappear to make it look like it's a real particle.

  21. I think that automatic facial rigging is actually planned. However, there are two things. First: it's not going to be in 1.0.0. Second: Based on Mog's Law (no matter how nicely you word something or how much customization you provide for something, someone will always be butthurt/angry), many, many people will be unsatisfied with the layout of the facial rigs provided.
