    Altyn Helmet (RIG)

The Altyn is a titanium helmet of Soviet and Russian origin. A popular helmet, it is still widely used by modern Russian special forces despite of its discontinued production. It is named after the historical Russian currency altyn. The Altyn and it's faceshield are both capable at GOST 2, defeating 7.62TT and 5.45 PSM FMJ at 5m range. The roots of the Altyn are found in the Swiss PSH-77 helmet, which was used by the Soviet KGB special forces during the Soviet–Afghan War. In 1982-1983, Soviet specialists of NII Stali (literally translated as Scientific Research Institute of Steel) received their first samples of the PSH-77, who were ordered to copy and improve its design so a similar titanium helmet can be produced locally. Around 1984, NII Stali produced the prototypes of the new titanium helmet. The first Altyn helmets a 4mm thick layer of stamped titanium shell, and did not have an aramid layer. NII Stali also only produced the dome and the face mask, so their users had to install the communications equipment themselves. In the late 80's and early 90's, the aramid layer and radio was added, and the thickness of the titanium was reduced to 3mm. The helmet was originally used by KGB special forces. After the fall of the Soviet Union, it was widely used by Russian FSB special forces. It was utilized by FSB operators at the 1993 Russian constitutional crisis, Moscow theater hostage crisis and the Beslan school siege. Visually, the Altyn is extremely similar to its successors K6-3 and Lynx-T. The most significant difference between the K6-3 and the others is that K6-3 does not have a radio, while Altyn and Lynx-T do. The design of the face mask is also slightly different. The edge of the pixelglass on Altyn is connected to the mask with a smooth rubber edge, while the K6-3 and Lynx-T have thicker metal borders and visible screws. Compared to the PSH-77, Altyn's face mask has a different rounded design, while the PSH-77 face mask has two cutouts at the two corners of the face mask to make shouldered aiming easier. The production of Altyn ceased in 2009. By the 2010s, the Russian spec ops titanium helmets such as the Altyn were becoming morally outdated and started getting superseded by newer western inspired high cut spec ops designs mainly based on the FAST. 11. The RNVG Ruggedized Night Vision Goggle is an extremely tough, full featured Night Vision Binocular. Familiar controls ensure ease of use. Any user familiar with PVS-14 goggles will find the controls to be intuitive. The switch and focusing functions are identical to the PVS-14. The switch has 3 positions: Off, On, and On with IR illuminator. Like the PVS-14, the switch does not cut power to the tubes when changing positions to turn the IR illuminator on. The RNVG has IR signaling capability. As a safety feature the switch knob must be pulled out to turn the IR illuminator on. An IR spot/flood adapter can be used if the user desires more range from their IR illuminator. RNVG optics feature a full range of adjustment. The mil-spec objectives allow the user to focus between 9.8 inches and infinity, while the mil-spec eyepieces offer a diopter adjustment range of -6 to +2. The interpupillary distance is adjustable to match the users eye spacing from 51mm to 73mm. IP adjustment is accomplished with jackscrews that maintain user settings using a ball-detent method to prevent any changes due to vibration. The RNVG was designed from the ground up to be extremely tough. When a night vision binocular is dropped and broken, it will most likely fail at the joint between the optical pods and the bridge. However, both the optical pods and bridge on the RNVG are CNC machined from solid billet 7075 aluminum to prevent breakage. This material is 36% stronger than most common steel making the RNVG the most rugged night vision goggle in production. Please note: Unlike other NVD Binocular Products which utilize single AA batteries, the RNVG requires a CR-123 battery. The RNVG also does not feature rotational monoculars which pivot out of the line of sight and the RNVG has no auto cutoff feature when it is flipped up to the stow position on top of the helmet. So unless the RNVG binocular is manually turned off prior to stow, it will emit light which could be visible to potential adversaries. The RNVG is not compatible with NVD's Battery Pack. With our expansive capabilities and strategic partnerships, we are able to custom build any of our NVD manufactured products with Image Intensifiers from either Elbit Systems of America®, Photonis® or L3Harris®. This includes green and white phosphor and thin or un-filmed image tubes. Made in : Modelbench

  18. Some tips which could help, but only on organisation, not necessarily time or not a lot : - make each scene as a separated project, if you lost it you'll not lost the entire animation (and it will also take less time to load) - use camera tricks, the scenery and characters to hide some section, you will not need to put characters 100m away just to fill a place - when something leave (shadow included) the section recorded by the camera, you can reuse it, like you can make a feeling of 100 of zombies running with only 10 because you reuse it - if something is out of the field of view, don't bother animate it - you can change the skin of a character during an animation, no need to spawn a character for each skin if they are not together on the screen, for example if you 5 characters but are only seen by two, just spawn 2 characters and change the skin if needed - if you can, make a storyboard before to know where you go and do changes on it until you are satisfied Some personalised tips : - since it's in the city, take advantage of the windows, alley, walls to hide some parts (as well as focusing) - try the most to focus on one person (main character) fighting on screen and not a bunch - don't upload the entire city in the project, only the section needed - create moments to build tensions, in the style of a mexican standoff, to buy some times, it could also help the animation since it's a fight - take time to introduce the enderdragon, make him come and flying over the battlefield, not necessarily attacking right when he arrives - don't do 100% fight, add some downtime, for example, the shadow of the enderdragon flying go over them and one of the character lift his head to see, you can zoom on when he's looking up, you would only need to animate his head for some seconds I hope it will help you.

  19. Yeah this didn't exactly turn out the way I was expecting it to. I had a lot of fun making it though Edit: Here's a gif to show how much editing I did. All I really did was add Gaussian blur, edge blur, RSMB (motion blur) and radial blur where needed with a mask. Rest was done in MI
