Really gotta work on your lighting man, and just the colours used in general. 

The rigs are fantastic and the posing is mostly perfect but it just looks so bland.

Sorry for the late reply, well for first you could use complementary colours(Colours at the opposite side of the colour wheel if you didn't know), or just colour sets like

I get where your going but what is this referencing to? The lighting? The rigs (color)? The background?

Mainly the backround but it could also affect the foreground as well, but you can't really just change the colours of the rigs.
