Since we can't have .obj support, why not have .d3d support? 8D Lemme explain a bit--

GameMaker is capable of loading complex models, but not .obj and such, however, GameMaker is capable of loading .d3d objects in it's 3D environment. And the best part is, it's possible to convert .obj objects, to .d3d and load them into GameMaker's 3D environment. If we can get .d3d support in Mine-imator and attach a converter for .obj extensions, we can have much more options for models, whether it be from Blender, from the web or magicavoxel. :D
