Skybox Rig

The skysphere was a little poopy since it doesn't use that much vertices, so circular skyboxes look odd. So I maded some better skybox methods.

Now you can use some skyboxes like in the videya games

 

Before using, go to the background tab. Turn off the sky and select "use custom image instead" but do not select anything further there. Then turn off the clouds since they render a little funny. Then select one of the tuts below:

 

How to use a custom cube skybox:

Use load a skybox that looks like this: 

Looks a little bit like a box.

Cut every section in a box formation. Like the figure above. Be sure it

Paste each section to it's corresponding location in the rig.

Enjoy skybox-ness.

 

 

How to use Skysphere:

Load skysphere rig

Apply a skysphere texture to it

This rig comes with a bunch of example skyboxes too.

thank you Über! I really dislike the current default skybox thing in mineimator... I really love this because you can actually customize each surface of the "box" Again, amazing job Über and I cant wait to use this in a animation!!!!

In the source engine, the skybox is the edge of the world. If you pass through the invisible walls that is.
