I'm just going off appearances here but I think I can answer that. While the scale of the weapon is much larger and ergo likely to be capable of producing more energy per use, the shape of the barrel and some other components would indicate a wide shot, rather then a compact package. Given this, my first assumption would be that this weapon functions more like a shotgun then a rifle so while it would pack a significantly greater punch then your blasters, I doubt it would be very effective over a long range, due to an increased rate of shot dissipation.

Awwww Perhaps, but that would take more skill with image editing then I have.

Need a rig for a black hole/ vortex so I don't just end up using a flat texture, which wouldn't look how I want. Something along the lines of this image, or whatever is reasonable in mineimator.
