Howdy Y'all

I've decided to created one of the biggest Icons in computing history

The commodore 64 from 1982

BEWARE

You will need a good pc for this rig

there is over 500+ cubes

and 250+ Legs (for the leads)

 

Includes:

2 CIA Chips for the Keyboard

BASIC/Kernal/Character ROM

A 6502 CPU

a PLA chip (Programmable Logic Array)

a SID Chip (Sound Interface Device)

8, 8KB ram chips (64Kb ram)

An RF Modulator

and 2 Video input/output chips

 

One more thing:

there is two grey boxes

one is the RF modulator I have no idea what it does

and the Heatsink for the 2 video chips

The graphics commodore 64 used was a thing called Cells where you could have 2 colors in an area of 8x8 pixels or you could go into 4 color mod which then cuts the resolution in half

but now you can have 4 colours in each cell

the typical resolution back then was 320 x 240 pixels

I (think) see use of the alpha glitch (from the wallpaper at least, i'll check later,). If it is using it, set the cube's alpha to 1, 2 or 3, since they're visible to mineimator, but invisible to everything else.

I set the alpha to 3 but it seemed to appear anyway
