Most likely because MI cannot locate the textures.

It happens because Mine-Imator can't find the data of the rig (the keyframes, textures and stuff).

Follow these steps: Create a folder on your desktop - Put all the backups, textures, and the project file in the folder you just made - Go to Mine-Imator - Create a new project - Click the "Import" button - Find the folder - and select the file.

This should work, since you may be just straight opening the .mproject file without the other stuff
