Tried that, most of the caves are just too small or doesn't fit well.

The schematic I have is from a world of mine. The schematic is 177 x 191 x 80 blocks as the mineshaft goes on quite a bit further than just the ravine. Of course, you can size the schematic down using MCEdit. I wanted to make it quite big so you had a lot to work with to fit your needs. There are several cave systems in the schematic - even another ravine, although without the mineshafts.

Sorry if the screenshots look kinda bland - I'm just trying to show the ravine and not make some HD 4K wallpapers. :P
