This is not a Mime-imator project! I hope I am alright to post this here, as this is probably the best place to find great Minecraft animators.

 

 

The Obsidian Animator is a brand new piece of software, that allows the animating of Minecraft models for use in game. It is part of the Obsidian Suite, an open source project that aims that aims to revolutionise the Minecraft modding and animating community by vastly improving upon existing model animation techniques for mods. As part of the suite, I am making a mod that will replace all the existing Minecraft animations. I can code, but I can't animate, and that's why I posting here!

 

Alpha

The animator is currently in an early alpha stage of development. You can download it RIGHT NOW, and begin making animations, but only for the player model.

To help with development, it would be great to see any animations that you create. Show me what you can do! Any animations that are sent to me may be used in the official mod release, but I will ask you first and give you credit.

As it is only an alpha version, there may be bugs, so let me know if you find anything wrong or have suggestions for improvements.

Theme of the Contest: Why did the Chicken cross the Road? 

So here's my attempt to try and make mine-imator look like it can animte other non minecraft things,  everything in this pic is made by me took a total of 2 hours to make the chicken(it was a lot more harder to put the chicken together than its looks here) the contest strictly says no minecraft content in the rules so im going to bend the rules a bit because it didnt say you can't use a minecrfat software to make a non minecraft animations....Sooooo,  tell me what you think. (Btw the its still a w.i.p because i haven't completed the scenery).

im confused. so can we use c4d/blender/maya?

i agree with alot of those points but there are someanimation apps on android which work well (ian studio 5.7 for example)

Hello So basically Everyone Has 72 Hours to create the most sad wallpaper on mine imator to date! It can be about anything thats sad

It's just I know some people aren't as good and maybe don't have the resources to make it so I'm making them for small you tubers >5000 subs btw
