sometimes when I try to turn and save an animation the program freezes, no crashes, no corruption, just freeze.

i was trying to animate an animation of my avatar walking across a flat world but i could not find how to make him do basic movements, i need help finding the tool to make it do basic movements so i can make the animation

i cant find the tool that allows me to do basic movements, im trying to make my first animation but i cant even find the most simple tool for the base creation of animations.
