It seems that people are making things that really popular animators from other programs make into MI so other people can use them. Although, it makes our community really unoriginal if we feed off of famous minecraft animator's original rigs/ideas/characters/maps. There's a reason why they don't release them, so people don't taint the originality. And with a program and easy to use like Mine-imator, it's really easy to taint those ideas.

It begs the question why someone would use present animations. I would argue someone who is serious about animating would use what they are given as a guide and not a tool.
It all depends. But chances are, the reason why people release these animations is because they have already improved beyond it,
