Like I said, the version I sent you is the exact same code base as the public, but running in a virtual machine which makes it slightly more stable but slower. Mine-imator is currently not in development since I'm busy with other things.

This is fake, I mean how do you get such intricate details in there like that. You sure this wasn't made by Pixar or something?

I can see what logic you're getting at, but just because the IDE of gamemaker was created in C++ doesn't mean you can compile/port in straight C++.
Parakeet(A custom Gamemaker IDE) was created in C#, that doesn't mean it compiles into C#, it still compiles the same way Gamemaker does.
So Luki is right, you can't simply run GML into C++.
So no, you can't simply 'port' it over. Not as simple as that, programming has never worked as easy as that

I was talking in message with David and he said he was switching over to C++ and remaking Mine-imator!  Seriously so don't expect a Mine-imator update for a while?

Also, he might of already announced this, IDK and if anybody could help out with this process of converting from GameMaker to C++.

    Update:
"He is eager to dive right into graphic development in C++."   At least that's what he said meaning that Mine-imator isn't that far away.

Oh boy, C++. I'm getting excited.
Forgive me for asking, but how will this affect .MPROJ files? Will the C++ version be able to read those still?

Please stand by. You will be Upgraded. Welcome to the C++.

That's cool. We may finally see the end of all those unfix-able GM bugs. And hopefully less lag all around.

    Technical Cover o' Topics
So first off this has probably been already suggested in which I apologize, but I know it has not yet been technically covered in how you would pull this off in gamemaker.  Also, I don't know what variables are set to but I'm sure they can be modified;) .

So you need to start off with 2 objects:
Camera (which has already been established)
    &
Lens Flare (possibly this could be squeezed in with some other objects, but the overall effect wouldn't be the same)

Lens Flare (I will only be covering this)
