  1. Ahem, that right there.. AINT medieval. thats clearly rustic/victorian.

    #BuilderProblems

Well, my mistake. I made these like a year ago, and I didn't realize. Either way, they are houses :D

  2. Nice! I feel a "College of Winterhold" animation coming on in your mind....

The animation was actually called "Clash of the Elements" (boring title, was really a W.I.P.) And each mage was going to represent a certain element. They were going to meet in an area where all four elements also meant, and it was supposed to be a remake of my first animation but on a more grand scale.

Could've made a simple wallpaper to show how they would look like on a character..

I mean, its a skin... You could just download it and put it on a character in mineimator, lol. It would take only a few seconds, and I didn't really find it necessary.

  3. I'm looking back to my PlanetMinecraft account that I haven't touched in a year, and I found a few neat schematics I made. I'll post them here:

    Minecraft Statue of Liberty:

    http://www.planetminecraft.com/project/minecraft-statue-of-liberty-2764529/

This project took me, if I can recall, about 7 hours to build. It was extremely challenging and difficult, and I also lost the texture pack I used in which every block was green. If you use this schematic, you can most likely just mix in a green color to get rid of the problem in which some blocks are orange.

    Small Pirate Ship:

A small pirate ship I built for a dock on my friend's minecraft server. After he shut down his server, I asked him for the server file so I could salvage my projects. I spent a little while on this one.

    Medieval House #1:

In one day while I was bored, I built this collection of three medieval houses.

    Medieval House #2:

    Medieval House #3:

Well, feel free to use them. If you do use them, please give credit. Thanks!

  4. Awhile ago when I was active on PlanetMinecraft, I used to create some skins when I was bored. Here's a mage skin I created; but I don't remember the reason for it.

I recolored it a few times for an animation I was going to make, but I haven't figured out how to layout the whole animation and so for now it's a failure.

    Original Skin:

    Red Skin:

    Blue Skin:

    Ice Blue Skin:

    Green Skin:

Use the skins for whatever you like. You can even make the black transparent, put it as a layer over your current skin in an image editing program, and save it to give your player the cloak look.

  5. Okay, so I have an update. I am currently rendering the (m)animation and am getting ready to go into editing. It has an hour left to render so this will take time. I should use this post to ask some questions:

What qualifies as a summer themed animation? Does it have to be during summer or is there anything more specific?

What happens if too little people join (less than 3) and the awards can only be given out to less than two people. What happens then?

Is there a chance the length can be shortened to at least 45 seconds? I fear some may get to rendering their animations, only to find out it isn't long enough and then they have to extend it with probably something boring or unnecessary.

    Thanks in advance

    1) Well, really, summer is a general topic for this competition. So, it could be anything between the literal beginning of summer (June 21) to the literal end of summer (September 21).

    2) Well right now there are over 15 people on the list, so I'm sure that there will be at least over 6 entries. But, if there happens to be less than 3 entries, I'll still give out the Gold and Silver award. If just one person enters, I'm really not sure because I'd assume that at least more than one person will join.

    3) Yea, sure, I can change the animation length to 45 seconds. I just originally had a fear that some people would upload their animations where like the first 15-20 seconds is an intro, and so the animation is incredibly short. The animation length must be of the animation only, and so yes, ill change it to 45 seconds.

  6. And here we are. Opinions are Opinions. Also Criticizing Helps!. It does. People use it as an advantage to step up there game. SuperSonicxx9 Never said anything that is proving a point. And you are going onto your own word of saying "opinions" and directing to your own. So don't do that.

Also That is a very nice cycle. Keep it up.

I already established that all criticism should help. SuperSonicxx9 criticized my statement trying to prove my opinion wrong, and I don't know what you mean by my own word of "opinions" because nothing I said about opinions I made up

  7. Very true. Here I am again, quoting. As I never learn. You are entitled to your opinion, as is everyone else, however.. telling someone to change something like whether the bending is round is not constructive criticism. It's trivial, really. But your opinion is your opinion, and I respect that.

You can't respect my opinion if you are also criticizing it, that's sort of contradictory...

Telling someone to change something is criticism. With your logic, you are also implying that if I told someone how to improve their kick in soccer, it isn't criticism.

This argument is unnecessary, and if you respected my opinion in the first place then you wouldn't have wasted your time trying to prove it wrong, because its impossible to prove an opinion wrong.

  8. Whether or not it has round bending doesn't affect how smooth an animation looks. Round or sharp bending is up to the animator's personal preference. I prefer sharp bending, myself. The animation looks great, although the run needs to be a bit faster and the arms need to bend a bit more, and the idle pose needs to have more movement over a slower period of time, depending on if the character is calm or energetic, etc. Also, while running, don't make the chest that stiff. You did pretty well, other than what I said. Good job.

You didn't have to quote what I said... everyone is entitled to their own opinion. He asked for constructive criticism, and so everyone is entitled to say what they believe will help him.
