  1. Hey, it's been a while Mine-imator forums! Made a rig for default Minecraft bed! PLEASE READ BEFORE USING okay, so the "idea" was to make a bendable blanket, like the ones that can use physics to look natural in other programs. This version didn't end up so well and I blame MI phsyics . Trust me it looks pretty bad. The crevices made the blanket look almost scale-like. While looking pretty ugly, It's just not worth spending the time to animate each from of the.. what is it like, 36 different parts of the blanket. Legit, its no joke. And it's all just to imitate a blanket. IN MY OPINION, you should just stick with the bed at it is if you still like it, and/or try to play around with it only for use of wallpapers. Now, I'm warning you, it can get real confusing to know how the hierarchy and parentage works on these blanket pieces; I only named all of them in x,y coordinate order. I would like to treat this as more of a test tho, and maybe throwing a random idea out there, I do believe it has potential. I'm not really happy with how it turned out, so Imma make this a - WORK IN PROGRESS, but I doubt I'll ever come back to it.. I just don't... just don't like how it.. just.. Nonetheless, I hope you enjoy. DOWNLOAD
  2. Hello, its been a while mineimator. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gW9Z3QvcQLA
  3. thanks! thanks for the info. I'd forgotten about folders Anyone know what I could do about that horrible DOF shift?
  4. Ok, so I started this project a few months back. I worked on it for around 4 days, with 7 clips in total up to where I got to. Things were going well, then I quit because of school work. PLEASE READ EVERYTHING IF YOU WANT TO HELP ME I'm thinking of continuing it, but looking back, some clips could use improvement. The clips I feel need help are: The cave walking scene, and the diamond scene first off, the cave scene is atrocious. I think this is the part of the animation where I started to get lazy. Time: (0:58) The things that bother me are the lighting. The torch is giving off the light, and if I turn the range of the torch down, the torch seems to be way too dim to make sense, but with the range up, there are so many unaccounted shadows that make the clip look messy. I know his second land was pretty unnatural, but this is something that I believe I could fix on my own in the future. Another thing that bothers me with this clip is that I don't really know how to make an angular walking pattern. I'm not bragging or anything, but I have gotten my walking pattern good enough for me to live with forwards and sideways. When my walking pattern is diagonal, I have to do really basic math to get it the same way. But I'm completely lost when I have to make him walk at an angle that is neither straight or diagonal, and I have to find the hypotenuse and shet to make him walk normally. I would have preferred him walking this way in the animation, but I didn't really feel confident and I made him walk diagonally instead. I really wish that mine-imator would allow position relative to the object, that way anyway Steve is going, I could make him walk straight. Secondly, the clip at the very end with the diamond, the same thing happens with the torch. The light kind of makes everything look messy (1:05) and what really disturbed me is the frikken DOF. My computer sucks real bad, and I wasn't able to test the graphics in real-time including the dof while I was animating, so I was forced to render the clip again and again, only the last part of course. But when the DOF slides from Steve to the diamond, there are so many messy lines that make the animation look poorly made. I tried all types of things and nothing could make the DOF move slowly, from blurred to non blurred. I'm looking for some expert advice, and would be willing to learn some tips and tricks on my major hurdles like different directional walking, the torch lighting, and the dof issue. 5. Ok, I've completed a new animation. In the animation, there is a spaceship which continually moves along in one direction very slowly, but by the end of the 3 minutes, I needed to set the sunlight range to over 15 000 in order to preserve the shadows, because the spaceship had moved so far away. It decreased the quality and started giving me funny lines. So, what I did was, I cut the animation in half, and relative to the position 0, 0, 0, I took the second half, and moved everything back so that it was closer to 0, 0, 0. I made sure everything was within the sunlight range of 8 000 from 0, 0, 0, and set the range to 8000. Obviously, the quality did get better, but now some of the shadows were missing. This must mean that the world origin is not 0, 0, 0? I'm really confused, and would appreciate the help. If you need more details with screenshots and etc, feel free to message me. I also don't know what I'm missing or if I'm doing anything wrong either, so please tell me so
  6. I never said it's stable for me. It's not. And yeah I get your point. But you know, my post wasn't directed at you, it was to everyone else who were being so impatient with a free program
  7. My dad's a developer, and a lot of you might not understand, but when you add things, other things break down. This is why it's so hard to do this. David's worked his a** off to get you this version of Mineimator and he's released it even with bugs to get it to you FAST as possible. He made this FREE, so if you want this program to be stable, why don't you actually support where this is going, instead of trying to motivate David to work even faster. So be happy with full 1.0.0, even with the bugs. I think David thought you guys would actually be happy with it, but once again, you guys always seem to find a way to be ungrateful.
  8. Test for the new audio track feature. It could be a little better tho, any advice would be nice Featuring my fantastical mid-puberty voice!!! https://youtu.be/M2uKFpFf1dU
  9. Yeah, it worked now. I think it was Paypal that was down. The page I went to said that the link is broken or paypal is on maintenance.
  10. Hey guys, mine-imator 1.0.0 just came out! I haven't been active for quite a while now, but I feel like mine-imator has come a long way for me, so I decided to get the new version, and make some new animations I know how much work David put into making this program, so I wanted to give him a tip of $10 for all the hard work, but the paypal link wouldn't work for me. I think this was due to the actual Paypal website itself. But it's still something you should maybe look at. Anyways, for now, I received the code to upgrade Mine-imator, but I'd still be willing to donate. Staff, please tell David to look at this. I could either send the donation by mail, or re-upgrading mine-imator if possible.
