The war had come. They realized too late that it would be their last. It crippled the world, leaving the few people left to fend for themselves and sift through the mistakes of the fallen and the careless.

I tried to sound poetic but I think I butchered it. Enjoy maybe

Agreed, I didn't want to make it too dark or too light, but I made it a but too dark
