try to keep the forward movement from being quicker (it looks like a kicking motion) then the back motion.

Normally animals that walk on all 4 normally walk diagonally. not switching between left and right..

like.. if these were the legs

instead of

[on ground] [in air]

Try walking on all 4, yourself. You'd see.
