Locking the same item more than once?

Now i have an idea that could help people out a bunch. Being able to lock the same item more than once. Think about it, If you make a gun and want the character to hold it with both hands, you could lock the gun to both hands and then you wouldint have to move one hand over and over. It would help a lot. Maybe even you could select a section of the item and choose where it should be locked.

I somewhat seeing this useful,except if you were to parent it to 2 objects and move both objects opposite directions, I somewhat see a fatal bug, or it just wont do anything.

Unless you could choose which one to lock to

 

if you had a person holding a sword (locked to that person) but then he stabs someone and you can change it to lock to the other person...
