Funny story

I was trying to make some torch particles then I scaled it too large. And bam, this happened....

Try to set particles Alpha to 50% or more or less (for green and fire shields)... Also try using spheres instead of particles.

Ah I did for the Alpha

 

But for spheres...it...crashed...

 

(I used an item texture for the particles, and not the ones on MI)

 

The closest I've ever gotten was this:
