2d sprites

The "face camera" feature doesn't allow for actual 2d sprite behaviour on a texture. This would be useful for text, where you want the text to stay fixed and 2d as if it was part of a screen display.

This should be really easy to add and would save a lot of time trying to get around it with annoying workarounds.

It's pretty easy. Imagine you want to add subtitles as in text for the dialogs, you can't properly do this. You can add text but it's not proper 2d. If I want to add something like subtitles, the way to add text now is an annoyance. Also we lack some basic text editing features like outline, drop shadow etc. This is important to have inside the program because you can sync movements to text, I know this can be done in paint.net but thats not the point.

Just learn what sprites are. Old games used to have sprites instead of polygons.
