By special i normally mean *enhanced* or *different*.

It is different in that it is his. You won't find another rig made exactly in his style, or in this way. All rigs are special, and all rigs are different, because all of them were made by different people, and all of them were made in that person's style. 

And Luke, this reminds me of some of my first facial rigs. Keep at it mate!
