How Do I Recover My Animation With A Backup File?

I know this might be a noob question, but recently my Mine-Imator crashed while I was making an animation.  I tried to open Mine-Imator again, and the project was gone.  The file was still here, but the animation was BLANK.  I went to the settings to check if automatic backups were on, and it was on.  My real question is, how do I recover my animation with the back up file? Help is appreciated, thanks.

I had this problem.

Change the file from  *animation_name*.mbackup3 to '*Animation_Name*.mproj

Well I went to the file of the project and there is a file called "InsertNameHere.mbackup3"
