I get asked this question a fair amount, and it is:

 

How do I embed an image or video?

(And yes, I'm pretty sure this is in Ayhays guide to foruming, but I have pretty pictures! :D )

 

To prevent this question being asked again, I will explain it in a simple and easy to follow way.

 

Videos:

 

Step 1: Find the youtube video you want to embed.

Step 2: Copy the address of the video.

Step 3: In your post, place the tags '' and '' without quote, in that order, and with your link in between(No spaces)

Step 4: Your video will appear via magic.

Images:

 

Step 1: Upload your image to a hosting website (I prefer postimage.org, it seems to be the simplest)

Step 2: Find the 'Direct Link' for your newly uploaded image.

Step 3: Look for a little icon that looks like a picture. Click it.

Step 4: Paste the Direct Link for your image.

Step 5: Hit OK.

Step 6: Your image will appear via magic.
